Has Anyone Tried Making Hairbows for Little Girls?
I have found how to make stacked hair bows, and I was thinking about trying to make them with tulle and/or ribbons, and they would be a part of my gifts to my flower girls.

The dresses are the ones I have previously posted, and they are going to be made by me as another part of their gifts, so they can be used for dress up.

But back to my question, has anyone made something like this before? I

I may just use the ribbons because they are darn cute! But I think I am going to try both and see which ones I like best.

I just wanted to know, if anyone has tried making stacked hair bows before, and if so, how difficult was it and did they come out cute?

Arent they Just Too Cute?
I am thinking about trying to do one of these for my friend's little girl for her Easter dress (Her daughter is 18 months old right now) to see if we can DIY these and save money.

I have found directions to do them online at:

Version 1
Version 2

I was thinking about trying to do a mix of the two, one in white tulle and pink ribbon to represent the white rabbit, and one in brown tulle and pink ribbon to represent the doormouse.

Even if I cant they are not expensive and are perfect for my little flower girls and if you are thinking about getting them yourself, here is a great place:

Bridal Salon's Beware
Bridal Salon's Beware

Ask a Question
Has Anyone Else Had Trouble with Bridal Salons?
This is a quick one because I have to get to class in a few minutes, but I have been having issues with all the bridal salons I have went to constantly calling me. I mean I could understand one follow up call per salon but I mean Alfred Angelo and David's Bridal are taking the cake I have answered almost all of their calls and made sure to mention that I have already made my decision and I will be going with someone else, but I thanked them for their time.

But now its getting to the point where I am starting to feel harrassed, I don't know. It doesnt help that I had issues at both stores, Alfred Angelo had a very pretty dress that was my size, but it just wasn't the one and the sales person wouldn't stop pressuring to buy it. It didn't help that when my friends tried on the dresses I thought about for my BM they HATED all of them, and honestly they weren't very pretty. (It didnt help that I wasnt happy with these two girls in the first place, they had made me EXTREMELY late to my appointment) But we made the voyage away from there thinking that at least the sales people were nice in pressuring.

Which is more than I could say about my trip to David's Bridal, the saleswoman did not grab a single dress that I had chosen, she picked all A-line dresses, when I wanted a princess ball gown. And she had me try on a cream colored dress that another girl didnt want, that couldnt be altered at the store, that was WAY too short on my, (it hit at my ankles.) When I told her that I was going to continue looking because I have time, she said that I shouldnt even be looking right now if I am not planning to buy right away. I told her that I am sorry but I am not making a decision 2 years in advance unless I fell in love.

The best part of the story is that I went to a little mom & pop owned bridal salon that had Private Label by G. I was able to look at it, touch it, sit down and stand, dance a little and really enjoy myself. Thats when I fell in love with my dress.

I guess the whole point of this post was to rant a little, but I was just wondering, has anyone else had any issues with any bridal salons or dress makers?

I found my dress today...
I fell in love with Private Label by G the minute I saw their collection online. Then I found this dress... My Dress. Its amazingly beautiful and goes along with the Alice in Wonderland theme, think of the flowers in the garden (Which is actually from Through the Looking Glass).

I love it, it has a strapless sweetheart neckline with a corset back, which is perfect for my larger chest. and a drop waist to accentuate my curves. With the three tiers with the rosetts in the perfect place I am in love! Beading, Embroidery, and a Cathedral train!

All still under my $1500 budget, which is even better!

Lets just say, I feel the bridal feeling...

Bridesmaids Hair
I decided that I wanted all of my BM's to all have classic looking hairstyle with a silver hair peice in it. I found these via google/photobucket search.

I was wondering if this sounds like a good idea to everyone? I know all of the accessories for my bridesmaids will be silvery metallic due to the brightness of their dresses.

Anyone have any ideas for my own hairstyle? By the way, the veil and look in the picture was just me playing dress up in my mothers wedding veil.

(Yay! Fixed the Picture Issue!)

My Bridesmen and Groomsmen Looks
So I went to men's wearhouse's website, and I found they have something kinda like the David's Bridal Dress My Wedding. But you can only create a single tux at a time, but I created the looks together.

I am having two bridesmen on my side, and my FH has 5 groomsmen, so having to find characters I love that have a definite color to them is a little difficult.

Characters Represented:
King of Hearts (Red)
Cheshire Cat (Pink-Magenta)
Mad Hatter (Green)
Catepillar (Blue) (For One Groomsmen and Bridesmen)
March Hair (Brown) (For One Groomsmen and Bridesmen)

I am excited to see things all together so far!

Numbered Teacups
I found these teacups that are from Anthropologie; I can't find them on the website, but I am thinking about trying to find some more. I am looking at having these filled with the little cookies that say "Eat Me" and a little colored glass bottle filled with tea that has a tag that says "Drink Me" with "Just Add Steamy Water" on the back.

But I am going to continue looking for favors, there are just so many options!

Wedding Decoration
Through the Looking Glass
Aparently my ideas for my ceremony decor are really unique, or the people who have decided to do something like my vision just arent putting pictures up on the internet.

I have this view of mirrors lining the aisle and on the walls having antique looking ones along the the room. With candles infront of them (I know dangerous with my cathedreal train and veil, but I am thinking for the aisle runner parts just having the fake candles there to get the same effect.) with having tree branches with the white christmas lights wrapped within them along the columns

Also, having a huge mirror (that is actually two mirrors that fit together as one) at the back of the aisle with my attendants coming from each side of it, then during my song the two parts are pulled apart and I can walk through it (get, throught the looking glass *wink, wink*) But my only problem is I would love to be able to have a real vision of it before I actually put a definite mark on it.

I have found some things that also add in the silvery-white tree branches and lighting I want but no mirrors.

I am really just trying to find if someone has been to a wedding or has had a wedding like this, or maybe some input. Understand that my bridal party and their flowers are VERY bright colors, so I wanted a silvery-white neutral pallet for the decor with my programs adding brightness to the colors

Wedding Music And Songs
Hooray for "Almost Alice" CD
Every person who wants to have an "Alice in Wonderland" Themed wedding should go out and purchase this CD from Hot Topic.

I am very into alternative rock, so I would've gotten this CD in the first place, but I truly love it!

It has a few updated versions of some "Alice" themed music, but with modern bands and singers!

I wanted to walk down the aisle to something completely different from Here Comes the Bride (I hate hate hate it) and I found it in "Painting Flowers" by All Time Low. The chorus is perfect for my FH and I:

"When I wake up
The dream isn't done
I wanna see your face and know I made it home.
If nothing is true
What more can I do?
I am still painting flowers for you.
I am still painting flowers for you."

Anyways, I am trying to figure out which song I want my bridal party to walk down the aisle to. But I know what we are leaving to
"Follow Me Down" by 3oh!3, its fun boppy and definitly fits our personalities.

The entrance to the reception is going to be "Tea Party" by Kerli, which is just fun, funny, and will definitly get everyone dancing and clapping.

But anyways, I love it, it makes me happy that this CD came out now!

"Custom" Dresses at an Awesome Price!
These are the dresses (and the prices) for my bridesmaids. I also have to guys as part of my side of the party, but I will just put them along with the groomsmen.

Anyways, back to the girls, I wanted them to be able to look similar but still be understood as an individual character (which by the way matches their own personalities yippee!)

Anyways, if you couldnt guess, the characters represented here are:
The Queen of Hearts
Cheshire Cat
Mad Hatter

I really loved these and if you would like to know where they are from please ask!

I know they arent matchy-matchy but I am having a very colorful wedding anyways.
