Bridal Shoes
White or Purple? White or Purple?
So should I go for white or purple, traditional or modern?? I really want my PURPLE peep toe pumps but Ive had such a hard time finding the perfect purple shoes. Everything I see has been 4" heel or higher. I'm at about 5'6 & to add an extra 4" or 5" will leave me at 5'10 or so. My fiance is 5'11, I dont want to look like a giant =(

Plan B in case I dont find my purple shoes is to look for the traditional white shoes but I would like to add a shoe clip. I'm thinking some bling with feathers or a flower.

Wait whaattt 60 days left! NO way!
I cant believe it~!!! Time has truly flown by us!!! I'm excited & cant wait for our big day. Im ready to see all the hard work that we put into it & be able to dance the night away & have a great time with our closest people in our lives.

But Im also ready to step forward to our future together as a married couple. We've been dating for 8 years!!! This is a BIG deal!! Finally!!

This week my FH gets to try on his suit for the wedding. I know he will look good! We have also purchased his wedding band this past weekend. Hoping to order mine soon. We should also be getting out wedding invitations in a week or two. We have my flower girls dresses.

Then this weekend we will be meeting with our wedding coordinator to take a look at our table layout... super stoked!!

My bridal shower is in a few wks, at the end of feb! it might hit me until then that Im finally getting married & Im finally going to the "Bride". Yaaay! So many more things, too many to list. Im just ready!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DIY Wedding
I'm behind....
So I've been looking thru many DIY's on WBC & WOWWW many of you are so on top of it. I'm sooo behind compared to you all. Were bearly going to start on a few. I had originally planned NOT to do any DIY but as time gets closer & our wedding budget keeps growing, I've decided to look into a few things to DIY.

My sister loves this kinda stuff & has so much patience for it. I dont. I have an idea & Im just not the best at accomplishing it. I have decided to make our own pomander balls which will be for our ceremony & hanging from a hook going down our aisle.

Also I have my FH's cousin who Ive been blessed with because she has been helping me so much. Not only is she doing our candy buffet, fruit table, & dessert bar BUT she is now helping me do our invitations, table numbers, ceremony programs, etc. I only wish she lived in the same city as we do. She's about 6 hours away from us but has been a great help. She's got so many ideas & gets straight to it. I cant wait to see what she comes up with for our invitations.

I'm not exactly doing my own DIY's as you can see ... I've done very little when we first started planning the wedding but still need to get to a few others that I haven't focused on. I need to get on the ball ASAP!

Surprise Dance

So... I really really want to surprise our guests with a cute Grease dance with my FH & our bridal court. When we brought it up to our court they seemed excited about it. Which surprised me but made me happy that they were down for it. My FH isnt looking forward to it, he's a shy type of guy & doesnt like the thought of acting infront of a bunch of ppl & looking silly. I found this cute video of the young kids doing a dance routine for 3 of the songs Im planning on performing for our wedding. I'll be stealing some of their steps. It looks easy & I cant wait. I'll be buying a few props; scarfs, glasses, hair combs, cigarettes, etc. I wanted to buy the pink ladies & t-birds jacket but we'll see if we can find them or i'll make them. Wish me luck!!!! :)

Everything....
Stressed out!
I've been stressing a bit these last few days. Were at about 4 mos left to our wedding & still owe an outrageous amount. My FH keeps trying to calm me down & tells me not to let it get to me but i say "i have to care because if i dont no one else will!!"

Then today I get told that I will not be getting a raise. My last raise was April 09. Seriously??? ugghhh! Just ruined my day & i was actually having a good & productive Monday. Im fighting for it & hoping to get some news sometime this week about getting some kind of raise. Anything!!

My FH is already working waaayyy too much! Idk what else to do to make sure we come up with the money for the wedding. We have an option but im really crossing my fingers that we dont have to go that way.

Yikes! Idk what we got ourselves into! Never did I think planning a wedding on our own would be this hard. We have some help but others have their own personal expenses & if they help us it wont be til the day gets closer & we are in need of any money help NOW. Theres so many things I wish we would of gone a different route but there's not much we can do by now. Any changes means losing deposits & we cant afford that.

Then my FH's truck is acting up, the transmission went out!! not the best time to mess up! We also have a freakin cruise that we decided long ago to book with a group of friends that now we regret. At the moment it sounded like fun but we need to save every penny & that is not helping. Just crossing fingers & will be praying to GOD to give me the patience & help us get through this without going crazy. I cant wait for the day to arrive & take a HUGE relief off our shoulders.

Sorry just had to VENT!!! =/

As many of you all know, tradition says the groom should not see his bride before the ceremony... if so, they will have bad luck!! how many of you really believe this? I'm not superstitious! So were definitely going non-traditional with this.

I want to be able to have the person that calms my nerves right by me on one of the most special days of our lives.... i want him to be able to kiss me, hug me, cry, tell me how beautiful I look without having to hold ourselves back. Im going to be a Maggie Sottero bride... but Im nervous!!
Im a Maggie Sotero bride!! Yaaayy! I would upload the picture but I dont want my FH to accidentally come in here & see me in the dress. lol The other day I had left the site up & I caught him reading my post. So Im glad I did not post my dress. wheeeww!

But I found it on Oct 2nd at a very nice bridal store close to Houston. I had never heard of the place until I friend mentioned it to me & I said "what the heck it wont hurt to check it out", sinc i had already tried a few at Alfred Angelo & was not extremely happy with the ones i tried on. Guess what though? I tried on about 5 dresses at Wedings by Debbie & I felt AMAZING!!! I loved all the dresses & felt soooo beautiful in all of them. Which was a huge surprise! I was dreading in looking for my wedding dress for the simple fact that Im a big girl & I was scared that I was going to end up being extremely disappointed at the end of the day but to my surprise I felt great in all of them. It helped that every dress we saw that I liked had my size EXCEPT when it got to my fav Maggie Sotero dress. When I saw it on a mannequin, my mom & sis looked at me & said "that one is prettyyyy!!!" So the lady helping me said it was a small size but I still wanted to see if I could atleast get it on without closing it..... well when i got to try the dress ... it did NOT FIT!! It wouldnt go pass my chest. :( I couldnt believe it! the ONE dress I was really looking forward to trying out did not fit at all. What we did is tried on another dress my assistant found that was very similar to the maggie sottero dress & placed the bottom of the maggie sotero skirt infront of me & we took a picture. haha! I LOVED IT! she said it would be jsut about the same fit as the one I had on & that she promised that I would not be disappointed when I got it. Im a bit nervous when it arrives & that I try it on.... then that I dont like how it looks on me. ahhhh! But I risked it & ordered my Maggie Sottero dress AND my sister made me order one size smaller than what they recommended. Now I have to have to lose at least 20 lbs in about 3 mos. Am I CRAZY or WHAT??? lol OH & I actually got emotional when I tried 2 of the dresses that were my fav, both Maggie Sottero's.

Just want to say thanks to everyone who has inspired me on my own wedding ideas. I love this site!! Even though i dont get many comments on my page its ok lol I use this to see everyone's ideas. But definitely a HUGE VIRTUAL HUG to those who have been sweet & kind enough to leave me comments. I love seeing your comments, it makes me happy to see that you all like what im doing. :)
