Chair Labels
Hi Beautiful Brides!
Its been awhile since I have posted on WBC! I have been so busy and with the hoildays coming my time has been really tight!! I hope your all doing well and are moving right along with your Wedding Plans!! I found these cute chair labels I think I am going to use. I was wanting to do something special for my mom who passed away last summer and I was thinking if I use these labels then people in Jeff's family who don't know about my mom will understand that that is where she is going to sit! I wanted to have my brother, sister, dad and I all carry a special flower and when my father walks me down the isle we can all meet at my mom's chair and place the flowers on it together. Are any of you girls using chair labels? I think they are cute! |

Got Wood?
I can't wait to see it for the first time on Our Wedding Day!
Since most of the planning is coming from me, Jeff stated
that he wanted to build our Ceremony Arch as a surprise to me. I am very excited, we went into the mountains hiking this weekend and we found a lumber yard with the the wood I was wanting for the arch! I know I probably sound like a crazy woman all excited about Wood! But I really only liked certain types of wood for the arch to make the whole wedding come together :) And I am excited to have Jeff make it and surprise me with it! The wood came with bark and all, so he is going to have a lot of work on his plate, but I guess since it is the only thing he is really helping with, It shouldn't be a problem for him to get it all done in about 6 months. I want to have the arch decorated with fabric, like the pictures I have posted! I love the clear Tulle looking fabric, but I do also like to have things colorful, so we'll see what I come up with! |

Aspen's Dress |
Flower Girl
I think I have found it!
I have been searching high and low for the perfect dress for
our little flower girl, well, she really isn't that little, she's nine and going on 16 she has been so unbelievably picky about her dress! First she wanted to wear the same dress as mine, then we couldn't find one like mine that wasn't for 2 and 3 year olds. So, then we started looking for something more like the bridesmaids dresses and I think we finally found one that we both like. Well, I have liked most of them, I guess its her that has finally found one she likes!! |

Lantern Lighting
I bought some lanterns!! I think it will go perfect with my
new idea of a moonlight evening wedding. I'm so nervous and excited at the same time! I have always loved the idea of having Paper Lanterns hanging from the ceiling at our reception so I'm excited to get them to see if they are everything I have made them out to be. On the other hand I'm a little worried that the shades may be a little off, but if they are and I can't use them then I guess its back to the drawing board, but I really hope that they are going to be perfect. Cross your fingers Ladies!! I also want to make some Pom-poms and see how they would look together. I love the Pom-poms also. They are very cute. I am going to run to Hobby Lobby tonight to get the supplies and try to make them over the weekend! I'll let you all know how they turn out! If any of you are thinking of making the Pom-Poms here is the directions for the big ones and the littles ones that you can use as Napkin Holders! I'm going to try both! How to Make the Pom-Poms You'll need tissue paper and 24-gauge white cloth-covered floral wire. Hanging Pom-Poms 1. Stack eight 20-by-30-inch sheets of tissue. Make 1 1/2-inchwide accordion folds, creasing with each fold. 2. Fold an 18-inch piece of floral wire in half, and slip over center of folded tissue; twist. With scissors, trim ends of tissue into rounded or pointy shapes. 3. Separate layers, pulling away from center one at a time. 4. Tie a length of monofilament to floral wire for hanging. Napkin Rings With just a few changes, these follow the same steps as the hanging pom-poms. 1. Stack four sheets of tissue. Cut a 10-by-5-inch rectangle, going through all layers. Make 3/8-inch-wide accordion folds. 2. Fold an 18-inch piece of floral wire in half, slip over center of tissue, and twist to secure. Trim ends of tissue. 3. Separate layers, pulling away from center one at a time. 4. Bend wire into a loop to fit around napkin, and twist end around loop to secure. Ceremony
I am Very Excited!!!
GIRLS!!!!!!
A friend of mine found a website with a calendar that has the moon phases and the sunrise and sunset times for the upcoming years and there will be a full moon on the night of Our Wedding! It changes everything!! I am so loving this right now, I love the idea of a late moonlight ceremony! SO what I am thinking now is that the sunsets around 8pm and the moon rises around 9. I would like to have the ceremony around that time. It will be so beautiful!! If I have the ceremony time around 8-830 that would still give us some sunset time and the moon rising. I think it is going to be great! I cannot wait to start planning some of my new ideas! Its almost like I am starting all over with planning the wedding. Here is the website that we found all this information on StarDate Online | Sunrise & Sunset Calculator Just incase any of you want to check out the times! :) |

Pink and Green |
My Colors
Thanks WifeWag
Pink:
This color embodies the gentler qualities of Red, symbolizing love and affection without passion. Women who prefer Pink tend to be maternal. Pink desires protection, special treatment and a sheltered life. Pink people require affection and like to feel loved and secure, perhaps wanting to appear delicate and fragile. Pink people tend to be charming and gentle, if a trifle indefinite. Green: The color of harmony and balance, Green symbolizes hope, renewal and peace, and is usually liked by the gentle and sincere. Greens are generally frank, community-minded people, fairly sociable but preferring peace at any price. Green people can be too self-effacing, modest and patient, so they may get exploited by others. They are usually refined, civilized and reputable. I think it is fun how these colors match who I am and I love it, I picked the perfect colors! :) |

Ask a Question
I need a little help with this one!
Ok ladies,
Here is my annoyance for the day or last month. I have been wanting to rent a photo booth, so I was doing some research trying to find the best deal. Well, Jeff's mom, grandma and I went to a bridal show a couple weeks ago and there was a photo booth company there. I was talking to them, they had some really good deals that came with the scrapbook table, which was also what I was wanting Ok, well the sales people at the bridal show couldn't book my day because they didn't have the books the owner did, so I had to call him. They said if I booked today I got 20% off and if I book within the next 2 weeks I get 10% off. This was on a sunday and the sales people made it sound like I could call the owner today. I tried calling the owner and no one answered, so I left a message about 7 that night I got a text from this same number that said whats up which I thought was weird. I texted back wanting to talk with you about a photo booth I'll just email you tomorrow. He sent a text back saying my email is down I will email you the contract later in the week. Well, I got the contract, but I felt weird just sending a contract and MONEY to some guy I have NEVER even talked too. I tried calling him and it went straight to voice mail, so I left a message this was last Mon. Never heard anything so on Friday I called him again and left a message. Still nothing. I then sent another email on Sat morning. He wrote me back yesterday saying he's having troubles with his phone and wondering if everything was set or if I still needed to talk with him. OK, now I still have yet to talk to this "owner" and he is thinking that is fine, just Wondering if I need anything else. Do any of you girls see a problem with this or am I just overreacting? I think it is bizarre that he is very unprofessional as a business owner, texting his clients? Why is his email and phone always having troubles if he is a business owner? Wouldn't you have a back plan if your cell/business phone just wasn't working? I just think it seems sketchy? What do you girls think? |

Sunday Football
Oh and don't forget about Saturday!
I know you've probably already seen this cute
little boy mad about football! I fear this same picture may be taken of our own child someday :) My hubby to be is a football junkie! Him and his buddies are crazy! It doesn't matter who it is thats playing, they usually have a favorite from every game! He is a Huge Broncos fan, but he plays fantasy football and he has other players through out the league that are on his fantasy football so he has to watch them too! On Saturday he has his college football favs that he watches and Sunday is the same thing. I am laughing at him right now because I can hear him screaming at the TV right now! Do any of you girls have football crazed men in their life? I love watching football too, but after a few hours I can't do it anymore! I love the Packers, born and raised in Green Bay and we are diehard fans, but at what point are you considered a nut job :) I do get a lot of stuff done on Sunday's because when football season starts we barely leave the house! Today I have already cleaned the house, and have most of the laundry done, I made chicken noodle soup (its cold here), I gave our dog Marlie a bath, and now I'm hanging out with you girls :) Happy Sunday! |

Ask a Question
OBSESSED! Are you?
My goodness! I don't know about you girls, but
I am obsessed with my wedding colors! Everything has to be pink and green! Its almost out of control! I have always loved pink and have always been a little obsessed with it, but since the planning started, it has become much worse and its not only pink! If I see anything that has any pink or a lime green color, I have to have it!! All of my girls presents for standing up are all pink and green so far. I know that kind of goes with the whole wedding stuff, so I don't feel its as bad, but it doesn't stop there!! My friends are even starting to make fun of me for it, they tease about how everything has to have some form of pink/green in it. A good friend of mine she just had surgery to have her thyroid removed and she is one of the friends who makes fun of me the most - She was in the hospital for a few days and I went to the gift shop to get her some flowers and balloons and just for jokes, I wanted the ballons to be pink and green just to mess with her, the only ones they had for pink were its a girl and the only green ones they had said over the hill, so I ended up walking into her hospital room with Its a Girl and Over the Hill balloons! At least she laughed :) I also have pink drinking glasses, that I've had for years that I always use to drink out of WELL, the other day at hobby lobby, and I found GREEN straws! So now I even drink pink and green! Ok, girls! How bad is too bad? At what point does it become too much? Are you girls having the same obsession or am I crazy? |

Cranky! |
Why?
Off Topic
Hi Girls,
I'm am having such a bad day today! Well, I wasn't until I got to work! I am an Ophthalmic Tech at an Ophthalmology clinic there are all girls and one gay man and the women are all great, I really could not say a bad word about any of them! I have worked in clinics before where the girls are so caddy and it sucks well, not here, we all got lucky to find such great women....... The problem in our clinic is the gay man! He is Horrible! Now ladies DO NOT take this wrong I am not attacking every gay man, JUST him!!! I have had A LOT of gay men as friends and most of them are very caring and have feelings for others feelings! Well, NOT this guy!!! He is the meanest man you will ever meet! He has told me I am fat, and I am not the smallest twig the bundle but I wouldn't consider myself to be fat! He is the HUGEST Drama Queen, he will say anything to hurt your feelings I got in this morning and he starts in, I was crying before I was even able to put my purse away! I just wonder why people are like that! Well, with him I think I know why he is the way he is... He is so miserable within himself he want people to feel the same way he does! Sorry girls for the early morning vent, but I just needed to get it out before I started swinging! At him!!! |

Cosmic Wedding Planner

I saw this on Ms Soontobemrskeiling and I thought
it was neat. It almost scary because mine was very much like me. I am a gemini, so any of you that are gemini's here are yours also :) For any others here is the website to check out your own! http://www.brides.com/planning/astrology/ Your Bridal Style - Funky, eclectic, edgy, fun What's Important to You - Fast-paced action and excitement Cutting-edge style with dabs of tradition An awesome music mix by the best DJ Lots of variety and crafty touches Wedding Mantra "Curiosity is my companion and guide." Wedding Dress - Let's start with rule number one: Gaudy and girlie gowns must be "eliminated" (to quote your fellow Gemini Mike Myers of Austin Powers fame). You're a sporty sign that looks great in basics like tank tops and cargo pants, so why veer from what works? Gemini rules the arms, torso and waist, so choose a gown that flatters these areas. With your biceps, you've got the right to bare arms, so go strapless or wear a simple, spaghetti-strap style with a jeweled sash at the waist. Gemini women often have a boyish build, so create some curves with a corset or wrap-style bodice. Avoid boxy shifts and overly structured styles and go for soft and fitted instead. Striking a balance between masculine and feminine and structured and flowy is key. If you're small-busted, a halter or high neck gives you the chic, sleek look of your Gemini sisters Angelina Jolie and Courteney Cox. A unique or avant-garde gown, even a short dress, might suit your personality well. Gemini rules the hands, and if you're good with yours, you might even pick up needle and thread to make your own one-of-a-kind creation. A splash of color goes far, so don't feel trapped in "bridal white"—let yourself dip into the rainbow for a dress you truly love. My Ring Gemini rules the hands, so your ring should be a great fit, since it's sure to be noticed. As the sign of duality, try a double ring or a contrast of masculine and feminine styles. Jeweler Isaac Gottesman of Chicago's Dimend Scaasi (dimendscassi.com) recommends a tension-set ring with a funky modern metal band that's also curvy and feminine. The tension setting makes the diamond look like it's floating magically. Choose a princess-cut stone, which is square and ultra-sparkly and has lots of facets. My Girls You put the "party" in bridal party, Gemini. Pack a limo with your loudest friends and hit the drive-through window en route to the chapel. As for dresses, there will be nothing stiff and formal for your maids! More like short, sexy and racy—or at least above the knee. You might even put your bridesmaids in costume—they can dress as hula girls, for example, and put leis on guests' necks as they arrive. You're not big on having your bridal party look like clones (even if you are the sign of the twins). To mix it up but keep some coordination, send your maids to a place like David's Bridal, where they can choose from a range of tops and bottoms in the same color and fabric. The After Party Originality and diversity are the keys to your special day, Gemini. To satisfy your need for variety, think in contrasts. An indoor-outdoor wedding keeps things exciting and surprising. Find a caterer that specializes in "dinner by the bite," where your guests feast on portion-size tastes of many fun dishes. Since your mate is probably quite different from you, consider adding a unity candle to your ceremony, and have family members from each side light it to symbolically bring you together. Aim for funky decor, like a chocolate-brown aisle runner with sky-blue or hot-pink variegated stripes. Bright, patterned tablecloths and chair covers can carry the color scheme onward. As an air sign, you love to feel the wind on your face, so stage your wedding on a cliff or in front of dramatic windows. With your love of adventure, you could even skydive into your own reception and recite your vows while airborne—why not? Theme weddings are great for Geminis too. Hire a mariachi band and go south of the border, or round up your favorite fiddlers for a hoedown barbecue celebration. The key is fun, fun, fun. You are the kind of bride who jumps into the pool in full bridal regalia, getting the whole wild night started! My Glamour :) Emphasize your Gemini-ruled areas: arms, hands and torso. Adorn your wrists, even your upper arms, in cocktail rings, jeweled cuffs and intricate bracelets. Or if you wear a super-girlie dress, create the striking contrast your sign loves with a tough leather wrist cuff. Gloves look sharp and unexpected on you, especially with a strapless dress. You love to surprise people, so skip the dyed-to-match shoes and throw on some heels in shocking pink, neon green or electric blue. Tuck a flower behind your ear or put on a fun headband—wear your hair loosely or flowing freely. A few hair gems and sparkly touches keep you feeling fun. You get bored easily, so you might even wear your hair one way for the ceremony and in another style for the reception. Come prepared! Thanks Soontobemrskeiling! |

Necklace Journey Earrings Together My ring My Mothers Ring ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
Jewelry
Mine - Since you saw his :)
I never really told you girls about my proposal Jewlery.
I have already told you all about the proposal, but Jeff didn't propose with a ring. He proposed with what will be my wedding day jewelry. To start from the begining, my mom and dad were in an accident a year and a half ago and my mom ended up passing away a few days later. My mom and dad had already had a living will and since I was the oldest daughter I was given her wedding rings. Plural because she had her first wedding ring and then my dad bought her a new one later for whatever reason. Anyways, I had talked to Jeff after that and told him that I would love to use my mothers second wedding ring my wedding "band". I will be giving my sister my mom's first ring as a MOH gift to her. Jeff had just stated that since he doesn't want to try and buy a ring to match my mothers, he would just get me something else and after we were engaged we could find a ring to match my mothers for my engagement ring. He ended up buy ing me the Journey of Love Diamond necklace and matching earings. I love them! I think they are so pretty and I am going to wear them for my wedding day jewelry. I also took pictures of the ring that I found to match my mom's ring. I am more of a white gold type of girl, but my moms ring was yellow gold, so I went with that. I have pictures of them apart and together, let me know what you girls think. I think they look pretty good together. ~Sorry the pics are blurry, I tried to get them clearer but it didn't work~ |

Jeff's Ring |
Ring
His :)
Yay!!
I am so excited, I finally found Jeff's Ring!! I have been looking high and low for the perfect ring for him! I wanted it to be silver and I didn't want too much Bling, and either did he :) He's not a Bling kind of guy! I thought finding his ring was probably the hardest part about the wedding so far. The planning has been easy, I already know what I want so I just have to put it all together, and that has been pretty simple for the most part, But his ring was hard to find. I guess, it wasn't that hard to find the right ring, I just knew what I wanted in my head, finding at the jewelery store was the hard part! |

Happy Planning!
Hi to all of you beautiful B2Bs or brides already!!
I have been so busy this week, I feel like I haven't been on WBC for so long! But I guess when your use to spending 24 hours a day on this website, even the slightest decrease in time makes me feel like I haven't been on in a month when technically its only been like 24 hours, if that. :) I just wanted to see how all of your wedding planning is coming along. Work has been so busy this week, I really haven't had any time for any of my wedding planning stuff! Which is a bummer, because I love planning my wedding! I Never thought I would enjoy planning this much, and I Never thought I would ever become so obsessed! My biggest planning priorities in the next week are.... 1. Need to figure out who I am going to rent the photo booth from (I already have 2 places I need to choose from) and book it for our day, so I don't end up losing it and then I am going to be so bummed!! 2. Need to call Sarah, who does my hair and get something set up with her. 3. Need to finish getting a few guests addresses and send out the rest of the Save The Dates. I have 8 addresses to get and it has been so hard trying to get them. We are either playing phone tag, or I'm waiting on someone else to get me their address, since they want them on the list! 4. Need to get ahold of our photographer and let them know the days we are open to get our engaement photos done this month. We have been putting this off til now, because I love fall and the beautiful colors, and I wanted to have our engagement session after the trees have started changing colors. I think that is about all I need to do this week, which doesn't leave me too much time since tomorrow is Thursday! I have Fridays off though, so if I need to, I can get most of list done then :) I hope your all having a Wonderful week! |

My Best Man :)
Ok somehow my first post got deleted,
so we are going to try this one more time. Happy Sunday! I thought I would introduce you all to my side :) My little sister Tane' - I love her! She is my Maid of Honor My brother Paul - I also love him :) He is going to be MY Best Man. My BFF since middle school Jena - Love her too! She is my only bridesmaid :) I was just wondering if any other brides are having the opposite sex stand up on their side. I had thought about having my brother on Jeff's side, but Jeff has a friend from high school Christine and he was wanting to have her stand up on his side. She lives in Conneticut and I have never met her, so I didn't want her on my side, Right? So I thought screw it, instead of trying to figure it all out, I'm just going to have my brother stand up on my side and Christine can stand up on Jeff's side. Any of you having your brother or buddy hanging with you on your side? |

Gift Registry |
Ask a Question
Question of the Day!
My FH and I keep arguing about this....
I was thinking of having a registry at somewhere simple like Target or Kohls. We don't really need that much because we both had full households when we met and when we moved in together we combined all that stuff, so we have so much stuff, we really don't need much. We actually gave a lot of our double stuff away. Jeff thinks we shouldn't register anywhere, because we really don't need anything, and he would rather get money or gift cards for gifts. I think that we should at least give them the option of money or a gift. I know we really don't need to much stuff, but we can always use extra towels and some fun stuff like a wine fridge, or bedding. Also, I told him how are people suppose to know where to get the gift cards if we don't register anywhere. Right?!?! I really don't want to ask for money or gift cards either, I think its tacky. My soon to be MIL received an invitation in the mail a few weeks ago and they had a registry card in there for the different places they were registered at, which I feel is fine, but then at the bottom, they put Gift Cards Appreciated And we both thought that sounded tacky and pushy. I think if your going to buy someone a gift, you shouldn't have a say in it. I don't send people cards on my birthday saying gift cards appreciated....... What do you ladies think about not having a registry? And where have you all registered? |

(I'll start from the beginning so you can all enjoy my excitement!!) I had seen a couple brides talking about send-n-seal.com, so I went online and looked at the invitations just to see what they had. I was a little doubtful about the whole send n seal, but when I got to the website I found these really cute invitations that I fell in love with! The colors were pink and green...... BUT I couldn't tell the shade of pink, so I ordered a sample And guess what...... I got the sample in the mail today and they are PERFECT!!!! The shade of Pink is just Perfect They are so CUTE, I don't even know what to do with myself, I am VERY excited!! And the send n seal isn't that bad, It folds up and you can place a clear sticker on them and done! OH, and the best part.... they will only cost me about $150.00 I love them, they are going to be just perfect for my invitations!! <<<< I posted some pictures for you so you can also see how cute they are! |

Money |
Ask a Question
Who is Paying?
I was just wondering how many of you are paying
for your own wedding or getting help from parents? I was feeling bad this morning when I got the check from my parents for the wedding. I never really asked for the money, I just expected it. I know they want to help, but I guess I could have been a little more respectful and asked. My dad really doesn't like giving his money to me, but I think he also feels abligated because of my mom. My mom passed away last summer, and my dad isn't really wanting to help, but he knows my mom would have spent A LOT on the wedding, so I think he is ok with giving us money, because he would have spent a lot more, if mom was still here. Jeff and I are paying for a lot on our own too, but my parents and his parents are paying for the majority of it. We talked about going thirds, so Jeff and I are paying a third and each of our parents are paying a third. That was my dads idea.... |

Alright ladies!
We're jumping on the bandwagon! Its time to lose those extra pounds that have been weighing us down for the past few years! FH and I have decided to get a little bet going between the two of us to see who can loose more weight by the wedding. The winner gets to look nice in a swimsuit for our honeymoon! ;) We have both gained some weight since we started dating and slowly but surely the scale keeps moving up when we step on, and we want it to start going down, instead of up! So, wish us luck......... I think we're going to need it! :) PS!!!!!! Biggest Loser starts tonight!!!!! |

I went to lunch with a friend the other day who is getting married in January. She was saying that she is not having response cards sent out with her invites. She was going to have everyone RSVP on their website and for those who are unable to get online, she's going to have them call her to let her know. I have never heard of that. I like the idea of the guests just RSVPing online, and it would save you A LOT of money. You wouldn't have to pay extra for the response cards, and you wouldn't have to pay the extra postage either. How many of you girls are using the old traditional response cards and How many of you are having an online RSVP set up on your website? |

Anti-Bride |
Wedding Planner
Don't Let The Title Scare You Away!
Happy Friday Lovely Ladies!
I wanted to tell you all about this new planner I got last week! Its called the Anti-Bride Wedding Planner. It has a lot of really neat ideas and projects. Here is how it fell into my hands! I went to Barnes and Nobles last week with a friend and I was the tag along, so I thought I would go check out the "getting married" section. I saw this planner, And I am not really an anti-bride, I like a lot of the traditional and non-traditional wedding ideas, BUT this book really isn't completely off the beaten path, It has DIY projects for invitations and a bunch of other tools and tip on planning your wedding. Its actually very helpful, if any of you are looking for a planner, I would check it out. Here is a website I found that gives you a little preview of the first couple chapters. http://books.google.com/books?id=QOGV4F7netwC&dq=anti-bride+wedding+planner&pg=PP1&ots=OkHGs3fzSG& sig=TrFs940zr4GQNstn-6W8ZkaXRP0&hl=en&sa=X&oi=book_result& resnum=1&ct=result Have a great rest of your day!! |

Ask a Question
Do you take this Woman to be your wife?
We Finally asked our friend Hans If he would be our Officiant.
He was very Surprised! We caught him so off-guard his first words were "Me? Why?" He did glady except the position after the shock wore off, and is very excited to marry us! Hans is a very good friend of Jeff's and he has been around since day one! He is such a great guy and has a great personality for the job :) We are very happy he is going to be such a huge part of our day I was wondering how many of you ladies are having an actual officiant or if you are planning on have friends or family members marring you? |

Cocktails or Mocktails
To have or Not to have
I think the final decision for whether to have signature cocktails or mocktails has been decided!
I was really worried about having alcohol at my wedding, just because a few family members have problems with alcohol. I try not to get in others people business when it comes to what they do on their own time, but when it can mess with Our day, then it becomes my business. So, I think we are going to stick with some good old fashioned pink lemonade and limeade mocktails for the big day! Our colors are Pink and Green so that will go right along with the color scheme and I don't have to worry about anyone ruining Our Day! |
