This is jenberg's Pink Wedding!

These aren't the greatest pictures, but I was wondering if you brides that are putting rose petals down the aisle are putting them all the way down wherever, or along the sides like the second picture?

Alright... so I think I have things a little bit figured out. Haha.

My make up: I love Sophia Bush's make up in the first and third pictures... The first might be a little to dark for a beach wedding though.

My hair: I am getting extensions for the wedding because I want my hair all curled, but still long. I'm still not positive if it's going to be all down or half up. I have always loved Jennifer Love Hewitts bangs but have never been brave enough to cut mine that far back, but I might make an exception for the wedding. As for curls, I really like the last picture of both Sophia Bush and Jennifer Love Hewitt.

What does everyone think?

So I have 84 days left till the wedding and I have so much to do. I still don't have my bridesmaids gifts. There are a few of my last minute decoartion stuff that I still need to get. I have to get all the details of my cake figured out before I can finalize my order. (They're being difficult because I don't live there) I have to finish my playlist to give the dj. I have to make a list of specific pictures that I want and send it to my photographer. I have to make changes to my bouquet orders, because the price is way over budget right now. I have to make route plans for the limos and some sort of card to let the guests know that there will be a limo service picking them up outside their rooms. I have to get the groom and groomsmen fitted for their tuxs. I still need to find an aisle runner at a reasonable price. I have to finish my thank you gift baskets for the people that help out with decorating and stuff. I have to ask a few friends if they can pick some things up for me. Baskets for the bathrooms have to be done. I still have to find shoes for me. Get my dress altered. Have a crinoline made. Decide what I'm doing with my hair and makeup. Am I wearing a veil and headpiece of some sort?

And the list goes on and on....

Is anyone else getting close and stressing???

So me and the girls got matching tracksuits. Theirs say Bridesmaid on the back, and then have their name on the front. And mine of course says Bride on the back and my name on the front. They're really cute and will be great to wear for our rehersal or for our hair and makeup appointments.
I also have some others like Mrs. Thompson and Just married that I can wear more after the wedding.

So it looks like we're going to sprinkle a few pieces of just married confetti around each centerpiece. Hopefully it looks good.
Then we'll probabaly get some of those yard signs but change the color of the balloons. Or else I might have some signs made up in our wedding colors. Depending on the price that it.
And kid kitz. I don't know if I'm going to get these ones yet, but something along those lines. We'll put some crayons and coloring books in, maybe some kid puzzles or something. A few healthy snacks. I don't know what else yet? Anyone doing something similar or have any ideas?

So my fiance and I went to BC this past weekend to take another look at the resort and to see the new road that they put in. OMG, it's insane. Now it's this super steep downhill walk to the ceremony site. We walked down it and back up the other side and I almost didn't make it back up. There's no way we can make our guests walk this, so it looks like I'm going to have to provide transportation. (Not in the budget) I've been talking to a couple different limo and van rental companies and it looks like a limo will be my best bet. (There's way to much involved and renting a van with having the right licence and stuff, and the cost difference is only a couple hundred dollars) So I wanted the 20 passenger limobus, but they're not sure if it will be able to make the corners and stuff at the resort. But if it can be done I think it will work great. The limobus can just do loops around the resort and pick everyone up from outside their rooms. If the limobus is not going to work then I'll have to rent a 10 passenger and an 8 passenger limo. The only advantage to this is that the limos could be going around 5 minutes apart and would offer more flexibility in times to pick people up. And if the one limo comes to pick up me and my girls the other one could still be getting last minute stragglers. LOL!
But that's a picture of the inside of the limobus. I can't get a picture of the outside. The other two pictures are of the 8 and 10 passenger limos but they didn't have any pictures of the interior.

Has anyone found any monogram (or other) aisle runners at a good price? I've seen the ones at oriental trading and places like that, but don't really care for them much.

Also, is there a particular type of runner that would be better for sand than other hard surfaces?

These next ones are from when Mandy and Rielle went to try on dresses.
The first pink one was my first choice. I loved it, but the girls didn't find it very flattering on.
The black one with the pink bow I thought was sooo cute but my sister in law did black dresses so I didn't want to do that.
The plain black dress is the one that the girls felt the most comfortable in, so thats the one we went with. It's actually really cute in pink!

So of course we got cameras for the tables. I went with the silver heart ones. $30.00 for 15 of them on ebay.

As for the reception decorations... it's a pretty nice place and we're on a budget (the food is taking most of our money, $40/person) so we're not doing alot. We'll start off with black chair covers with a white satin sash. White tablecloths with black napkins. Then we'll put a black napkin on the center of the table to put the centerpiece on, just to have a nice contrast.
Then we'll have our centerpieces which will somehow be pink. I still don't know what I'm putting in those martini glasses.
And then we'll be doing some lights in tulling on the ceiling, similar to the pictures.
The reception site has this amzing patio overlooking the lake, so we bought some nice rope lighting (cheap on ebay) that will wrap around the wrought iron rail from one end to the other. If the weather is still really nice, we're probabaly gonna do our first dance out there. (You can see the patio in that night picture with the pool.)
We'll also have the arch brought up for our GRANDE entrance. Haha!

So we're not doing alot for decoration on the beach for the ceremony because I think that's decoration on it's own. But I got these bows for on the chairs down the aisle. They're really pretty and the colors go great with everything else. I still need to get an aisle runner, but I'm not quite sure what I want yet. I see alot of people are getting those monogram ones, and I love them, but can't really afford one. We also got the same wedding arch that's in those pictures but we'll have different flowers in ours.

I wanted to get one of those polariod guest books, but the price was just too much because I needed two, (they only have 30 pages) and then the polaroid camera and the film on top of that. Just couldn't spend that much. So I started looking on ebay and found this one. You can choose how many pages you want in it. They have page protectors to go on after you put the pictures in. And theres a disc slot in the back so you can keep a copy of all the pictures, just in case. I liked it because you can just use a digital camera, which most people have these days anyway, And there are lots of color options including pink. LOL

So I bought the large martini glasses for my centerpiece, but have yet to decide what I'm putting in them... I'll post a few pictures and I really like the first one with the flowers, but as we all know, flowers are pretty expensive. I like the ones with the light in the bottom, but what else do I put in them? I would want them to have more than lights and vase gems in them...

I also have candles to go around the centerpiece, so I don't think I want candles in them.

Anyone have any ideas???

This is my garter but I had a different gem put on it. One that just looks like a diamond. It's much cuter now, I think. LOL! And it also has a little blue bow on the inside of it, so I have my something blue.

These are the champage glasses that we got for the wedding party, along with the matching server set. They're cute and simple and the gems give them that little "somethin".

I'm having a really hard time finding jewelry for myself and my bridesmaids... Does anyone know of a place (online would probabaly be easier) to get nice jewelry at a decent price. For myself I'm looking for a necklace, bracelet and earrings set. And for my bridesmaids, maybe a necklace and earrings or something.

Also, shoes for my bridesmaids... I bought some shoes and they don't fit two of my girls and the place won't let me return them. So now I'm stuck with three pairs of shoes and I have to buy three more. I'm looking for something in silver, preferably a lower heel because the girls are having to walk on carpet on sand. Don't want anyone falling on their face, but if someone does, it'll probabaly be me. Anyone know of anywhere good to look?

So I love these gift card box ideas, and I would love to make mine myself but I live in a small town and am having a hard time finding what I need to make one. I just can't justify spending over $100 on something I could make for less than half of that.

Where is everyone getting these boxes to make them themselves?

So I found these invitations online and the decision was made instantly. I just couldn't believe how perfect they were. The pink is a perfect match too. Of course they wouldn't ship to Canada so I had to have them sent to me cousin in Seattle, but it was totally worth it!!!

Well I wanted our cake to be black, white and pink. I have lots of ideas running through my head. Nothing is certain though. We know we want a three tier cake with pillars between each tier. We like the ribbon idea. Maybe a thick black ribbon with a thinner pink ribbon overtop of it. Kinda like the green one in the picture but in black and pink. Maybe a pink ribbon on the top and bottom tiers and a black one on the midle tier. I don't know. LOL!

How many of you are doing a fondant icing?? I really like the look of it, but how does it taste?

Well I still haven't decided if I want to do my hair half up and half down or all down. And I still haven't decided if I'm wearing a headpiece of some sort and a veil??

So we decided to have some fun with our cake topper. We're really outdoorsy people. We like to go fishing and camping and biking, stuff like that. I found this ebay store who do these really creative cake toppers. We told them exactly what we wanted and they did it. I know it's not what most people would pick, but it's perfect for us....

What is everyone doing for their wedding songs??? For walking down the aisle especially... I can't for the life of me find anything!!!!

Our reception will take place in the ballroom at Lake Okanagan Resort. It's a great space with a huge patio overlooking Okanagan Lake.

Lee and I will be exchanging vows on the beautiful beach at Lake Okanagan Resort in Kelowna BC.

This is what our flowers will be, mine will have more pink roses than the bridesmaids, and theirs will have more white lilies than mine. It's cute and simple, exactly what I was looking for!

So I had picked out a few dresses for the bridesmaids to try on, but was leaving the final decision up to them. I really wanted the girls to feel comfortable in whatever they were having to wear. The dresses that we liked in the pictures weren't as flattering on, but the girls found one they liked. To be honest, I didn't like it at all, until I saw it in pink. It's a really cute dress and looks amazing on all three girls. I'll post a pic of the one they got, and the ones that I had originally wanted. Keep in mind that no matter what dress, it would have been in pink.

This is my dress. I saw it in a magazine and fell in love. I found it at a bridal store and then on ebay. And yes, I bought it on ebay. I got it for the amazing price of $320.00. Can't beat that.

My fiance let me pick out my ring when we first started dating and I still love it. It looks amazing with the matching wedding and anniversary bands. Now I just have to wait to get the bands. LOL!
