Checklist - check!
I cant believe it has been almost a month since my last post....I have kinda checked out of wedding mode for the last month and just had fun fun and more fun with my family.
We were lucky enough to enjoy some of the Olympics (YAY CANADA!!!) Then there were soccer and hockey tourneys, and a lot of food and alcohol, so needless to say my fitness schedule was tossed down the toilet for a bit, but I am back on track now....hopefully! (I am up a solid 3 pounds but I am going to work my ass off to blast that and a couple more this month) On the subject of wedding, I am feeling pretty good.... I have the following done: Caterer DJ Florist Venues Rentals My Dress Hair/makeup Transportation Invitations Need to do(soon!): We have an appointment with Jeweller on Saturday Bridesmaids dressed Tuxes Decor!!!!! Ceremony music Print off menus find signature drink Build Dance floor I feel like we are getting there! |

HELP!!!! Outdoor weddings
So we are having our reception at my grandparents cabin, which is essentally a small hall on a couple of acres with a pond, very pretty!
Kai and I have always both been very outdoorsy so we originally just wanted to have to whole reception outside because the cabin is fairly small, it can hold 80 comfortably, which we are about 100 more than that! So I am having a tough time deciding tent or no tent.....I do not want the whole reception to be under a tent, but everyone keeps telling me I need something. I was thinking maybe a 20 x 20 to put the guestbook table and dj under but everyone keeps telling me that we will need it for shade, which I disagree, the cabin has a huge patio that will be have lounge furniture and tonnes of shade. So to get to the point, so I am curious as to what you other ladies have done and think, did you have, or have you been to a wedding where you were completely outdoors without any tents, (in a shaded area) and what did you think?????? I am considering getting a tent just big enough to have the head table and dinner tables under and then having a mingle area and dance floor etc, out in the open, the tent would not have walls so essentially the wedding would be half under cover, half not,,,, HELP LADIES |

Weight loss Update
Almost at March goal point
Wow, this last month has been great. I have been eating so well, doing my 30 day shred and my Jillian Michaels online workouts (which is great for people who are bored of the 30 day, I cant do it everyday it is just too dull.....), playing soccer and doing the odd Pilates and it has paid off!!!!
I feel the best I have ever, in exactly a month I have dropped 12 lbs!!!! I am so excited, and a whoopin 3 inches off my waist!!! I have a huge sweet tooth, so everytime I want some sweets, I just remind myself that in 6 months there will 200 sets of eyes on me and I want to look my best!!!!! |

Meet my favourite Ladies!
Its about time I introduce to what I think is the most important part of the bridal party (other than Kai and I)
Pic #1: Kai's Family - From left to right: Kate is Kai's beautiful baby sister and a great friend ( and gorgeous also)...she has also been a rock for me through the last 3 years and welcomed me into her family with open arms. She has taught me so much about love, life and happiness and I am ecstatic to have her as a bridesmaid! Next is Al, my FFIL, great guy, always smiling and so helpful! Al is the peacemaker in his family and always knows what to say to make someones day! The babies - Teigan and Karson - my other flower girl and ring bearer! I love my neice and nephew so much!!! Trent - Kates husband and an amazing man also Kai's best man. Trent was also great at welcoming me to the family and can make anyone fall in love with his charm and energy, he is just so much fun to have around! Very happy that Kai chose Trent to be his bm, couldnt have asked for a more reliable, happy personable guy! Kai- The love of my life and Me ( i just realized I am writing a novel :) Pic #2 our baby girl and princess and leading flower girl! Tova is the best thing that has ever happened to Kai and I Pic #3 My great friend Rachel- Rachy moved away last year but we are managing a long distance relationship! We went to high school together and kept our love strong through my university years - she is a great friend, a total hoot to be with and always supportive. She is also great because she says everything she thinks and gives me perspective when I need it! Pic #4: My beautiful family, my sister (in the middle) is my best friend and MOH, isnt she gorgeous!!!! I love her to bits and she is a huge inspiration to me even though she is the baby of the family....she has a great head on her shoulders and is my rock when things get tough. My mom and dad are also great, and another huge inspiration because although they have been through 25 years of marriage, there going as strong as ever and love each other, and my sister and I so much. I am really truly blessed to have such a wonderful family! Pic #5 My other best friend - Rebekah.....we have been besties since we were 11 and have spent almost every summer since together travelling aroung BC competing in horseshows. Becky is my comical relief and has been with me through hell a couple of times - Rebekah always sees the positive in anything and everything and I wouldnt get married unless she was at my side!!! coming soon: my final bm is my beautiful cousin Mandie, who I was very close with when we were younger but havent seen for 3 years. But Mandie is an amazing person that as soon as you meet or reunite with, you feel like you have known forever. She is honest and can be anyones best friend...I love her to bits! Well ladies, that is the basics - I will post a picture of Mandie asap! |

Weight Loss!
Down 1.5 inches!!!
YAH! So I was getting a little discouraged because I havent been able to shake any more weight ( but I wasnt that great with my exercising last week :( ) so this morning I decided to measure my waist and see if I have made any improvements there.
I am ECSTATIC!!! I have lost 1.5 inches around my waist and .5 inches around my hips...so I am still making process. I know I am at a hump and I have a friends stag on Feb 6th so I am going to be so strict and workout like crazy till then and hopefully lose a couple more pounds. All my friends that are attending the stag havent seen me since xmas when I was a bit chubbier, I really want to shock them!... .Now I just have to find a hot little number to wear that night!!! And tonight I am finally going to move up to level 2 of the 30 day shred, and that is after my soccer game! |

I found this site, I believe on another WCB brides blog and I was hoping to get some imput on the quality of the linens. I am thinking of going this way as it would be cheaper for me than renting linens, but I want to make sure quality is ok.

AGHH! Losing sleep and having nightmares already!
I cant believe it, I am usually a really calm, relaxed and easy going person, and I am just so excited that our wedding is actually happening...so excited I cant sleep! And I do not function well with no sleep.
And now when I do sleep I have nightmares about the wedding being a huge bomb, the food not showing up, I am hours late, my hair is a disaster...everything and anything. I find this all mildly ammusing but very disconcerning, am I ever going to get any sleep?!!!??? How are you ladies dealing with these issues and what kind of crazy and frightening nightmares are you having about your big day? |

Wedding Music And Songs
How much are you paying your DJ?
So I've pretty much convinced Kai that DJ is the way to go, a deciding factor was the price difference. It was going to cost us anywhere drom $2000 to $2500 for a live band which is just not in the budget.
So we are getting a dj, and it will be $700 for the night and I'm curious what everyone elseis paying, I am sure that is resonable but $100 an hour does seem high to me..... So what are you paying??? |

We are having an outdoor ceremony on my grandparents waterfront patio, then it is over to their cabin down the road for the outside reception. Our bridesmaids will be wearing elegant black cocktail dresses and our colours will be purple, pink and ivory. I have lucked out as my sister/moh is taking an extensive event planning course so the day will be perfect! OH SO EXCITED!!!!
