Well, I have her booked for my June wedding thinking the same thing.. and now I haven't heard from her and she seems to have just up and dissapeared! Did she actually come decorate your wedding? Becuase I paid her a great deal of money..and now her numbers don't work and her facebook page is gone!! HELP!

I saw your post and got a little nervous as I too have her booked for my June wedding. I called her and half way through a voicemail I was leaving she did pick up. Maybe just confirm you have the correct number - 780-963-4164.

I have booked Amour Decor too, but havent been able to get a holf of her lately. I'm a month away from the wedding and was wondering if I need to look for someone else or if she will come through in the end.

My wedding is in July so obviously I don't have any first hand information yet.

However, Amy did come out to the viewing of the venue and brought a mock table.... it all looked great!

Please let me know if you hear anything else and/or how your wedding decor turns out.

i would not go with her. one month to my wedding and she is not available by phone/email and she has taken her facebook page down. completely off the map, except for her facebook page. she did a mock for me and everything and now she is nowhere to be found. we are currently looking for other decorators. be careful!!

SS - can you please let me know if she ever gets back to you? Were you able to retrieve a refund from her?

so after seeing 3 other decorators, she finally did end up getting back to me and we did a whole table mock up and everything. she is a little better at returning messages and seems to be pulling through. i am giving her the benefit of the doubt because she seems to have gotten her stuff together. will let you know if anything changes!

The backdrops, linens and centerpieces I rented from Amour Decor were absolutely gorgeous! (Not to mention a really great price!!) I received endless compliments from guests stating the reception was stunning. While I had my doubts, because Amour Decor is really new and so inexpensive, and has some communication issues to work through. Amy and her team really pulled together and made my day unforgettable.

Iam very nervous after reading all these posts. My wedding doesnt talk place until the fall. I too have had issues with email and contacting her
. All of her ads on kijiji were deleted???? Plus there were some very bad reviews on there-now also been removed?

I have given her a 50% deposit and have been in contact with Stony Plain county. Then out of the blue I get an email. She is running her business out of her home. In the mist of moving outside of Stony Plain . She has created another facebook account and has a personal account.

Hi Everybody

This is Amy from Amour Decor   I am very concerned about these posted and want to clarify to ensure we are all getting and given the correct information.

1. I have always been a home based business.
2. I am currently in the process of moving but am remaining within 10 kilometers of my current location.

4. I have had some communication problems as a fairly new business I am working hard to work out these kinks and provide better customer service to all my clients.
5. I do have a reference list of brides who have used my services which I have no issues providing to any of my clients
6. I do not have a Facebook page any longer, this will be back up in the future but will be removed for the time being.
7. Kijiji has been abused by a lady who shall remain nameless who made false accusations towards my business you can contact Kijiji directly to see that these ads were removed by them. I am currently not advertising as I have a fully booked year and want to provide the best service possible to all my clients.

Hello, I have also booked Amy for my wedding in 2 WEEKS so I can empathize with those who are nervous. I am beyond that at this point as it is too late to redo my favours and all those customizable things Amy had agreed to.
I want to believe that she will come through like for Karen and Keri so I am trusting her at this point. My wedding theme is Pink and Bling and it has been a very firm grounding for all our decisisons so you can imagine it is just a crux for the decorations to bring everything else together. Read this blog freaked out! It was Thursday night, the night before my wedding!!! Not to mention I couldn't get ahold of Amy for the 3 days previous. In the end she called me we had a perfect ceremony  and flawless reception. Every single item was wrinkle free and spotless. Hope you day is as great as mine!!!

GET OUT WHILE YOU CAN, THIS LADY IS A FRAUD!!! I was booked wth her and I just got sick of all her excuses, seriously- she

never returns phone calls, cannot meet deadlines and runs a horrible business. NEVER in my life would I book with her. If you do be very careful about what you expect out of her. I found an AMAZING decorator  who actually answers her phone/e-mails, provided samples and didn't make excuses about why my linens/decor wasn't in yet.. Good luck.

Well I thought I better get my imput here too since I've also had a BAD experience with Amour Decor. I found the add on Kijiji as well and was thrilled by the prices. Amy and I have made plans to meet which got cancelled the first time. No worries I thought, things happen. But then when we rescheduled for a 2nd time and I went to her house as planned she DIDN'T SHOW UP!  I stood on her doorstep like a fool waiting for her. I made several attempts to contact her and NEVER heard from her again.  I am quite thankful we didn't get to the point of exchanging money  since many of you here are struggling with her.  I went with a much better company called Sitting Pretty Events. Allison was awesome and put any fears I had to rest.  Good luck to you all who have money invested with Amour Decor, I truly hope that Karma gets to work.

Have you heard anything from Amy!?! I also have my wedding booked with her on June 4th...and am unable to get in contact with her. She isn't returning phone calls or emails. I was supposed to be able to pick up all my linens etc. from her 10 days prior to the wedding, we are now a couple days past that and nothing. I am looking into other arrangements.

Yes, I have been talking to Amy about my decorations on the 4th, including doing up my seating chart and meeting beforehand so I can pick up rentals for church decorations on Thursday night.
I think you just need to be persistent as she is probably overbooked right now and needs more reminders... I don't know, I'm not actually in Edmonton right now and finishing up my school stuff so I don't have time to really look elsewhere and delve into a new setup :(

Just wondering if anyone has been in touch with Amy.  She has failed to show up to numerous appointments that I had made with her.  I even went as far as to go to the police station to file a report for fraudulent business actions.  The police have called her and cannot get in touch with her.  I am in the process of filing a civil suit against her and a complaint has been filed with the better business bureau.  If anyone would like to join me in this suit, please email me at alanna_lamarche@hotmail.com.  Apparently Amy is filing for Bankruptcy and was instructed by her lawyers not to do any weddings!

I would appreciate even a chirp from your direction. I don't care if you are a con artist or a fraud like everyone says, I still just want something from you to acknowledge any of our past interactions.

As well, let this be a confirmation that you are officially fired, we will no longer be using your services OBVIOUSLY and I hope you understand how you have negatively crushed the spirits of many brides on what should have been their most special day of their lives; you have robbed me of a day and a week's work of productivity because of your misdeeds, which I had to hear about via the media and the internet? Why did you not mention something when we spoke 2 days ago. Instead you have left me in a worse position than if this was blown wide open then. I am trying to finish an important thesis and yet your utter incompetence and mean-spiritedness has killed me of all fruitfulness in this regard.

I don't know how anyone can do this to other humans but I sincerely trusted you and gave you the most sincere benefit of the doubt.

I really can't fathom how you can do this, and then leave people hanging.

I hope you face the consequences of your actions, as unfortunate as they may be. Even if you are not a true fraud, then namely for blatantly ignoring your clients and leaving them to their own defenses like finding out about you on a random blog. Anyone booking with her need to contact the Stony Plain RCMP as she has closed her business and ran away with quite a bit of money from couples. BEWARE IF YOU HIRED HER!!!!
