Ask a Question
After the wedding....

Do any of you ladies feel that you will be "lost" for stuff to do once your wedding is over? I know for some, planning the big day becomes a huge part of life for months - even years. And then that day passes so fast (from what I've been told).

It's hard to say how I will feel when it's all said and done. While I am excited for my wedding, I am anxiously waiting for June to come to have everything behind us. Granted, I have never been a huge fan of planning (although it has been fun at times). I am looking forward to having my money be "mine" again and not spent on endless wedding items. My fiance and I are hoping to buy a house within the next year as well, so it is another thing to look forward to, once the wedding is over. I also have my best friend's wedding, and other good friends getting married in the months to come, so it will be nice to be involved with those, without worrying about my own. But I wonder at the same time - will I miss this?

I will be a little sad, but relieved that we made it through all the planning. We have 2 months left so I am getting a little emotional that it will be over soon, but I can't wait for our honeymoon vacation to relax!
Next project will probably be our first baby.

What you do once it's over: hang out here and help others plan!

But seriously. You will probably miss it a bit. But it'll go away.

If you're anything like 95% of brides, you'll feel a sense of being lost after the wedding is said and done. I got married nearly a year ago. I spent 4 months putting my wedding day together, and then I launched into helping my friend create her dream day. She got married nearly 2 weeks ago...and I hardly know what to do with myself. My days off are actually free of anything to do. Its really weird.... :|

Oh yes you will. I got married 2 months ago and for the first 2 wks when we arrived back it was such an anti climax I was a little down but it does happen and its only natural because you have spent so much of your time building up to this day when its all over, what do you do? With your friends wedding and the project of the house you will have plenty to do so dont worry!

Yea I think I'm going to have to figure out what else to focus on but I'm getting super anxious about spending my money on anything non wedding related and we are looking to buy a house after the wedding so I'm hoping I'll be able to divert all my attention to that! It'll be a relief not to look at wedding stuff but at the same time I love looking at wedding stuff! Hopefully I'll have friends that get married soon so I can enjoy all their wedding planning :)
