I decided to make a Flip Flop Basket for our reception, because I was at a wedding last year and ...
We will be having my cousin say grace prior to dinner at our reception. Although neither of us is particularly religious, we would like to give thanks for the day, the meal, and the friends and family who will share it with us.
I'm really not up for writing something myself, nor do I want to leave it in the hands of my cousin. I am looking for something short and simple, that will include guests all of all religious beliefs (or those who do not have any).
I'd love to know what those who are including grace before their dinner are doing - or if anyone has good resources to find something pre-written.
Also...is anything about the couple mentioned in this? Or is it a blessing of the meal? The more I read, the more confused I become.....
I should clarify, as I read this back....I'm not totally lazy. I know I probably won't find an example that is exactly what I want, so I am fine with improvising and adding to it myself. I just don't want to write it myself without an understanding of what I'm supposed to be saying. I'd like to find a guideline, use that, and personalize it just a bit.
