To make these I used:

Paper from my invitation shop (its the same paper I used for my invites I have yet to post, oops) its called SeaGlass...it was a litl pricey but i wanted everything to match.

White Card Stock ~ Wal Mart $5.00

Ribbon from Michaels it matches perfect about $3.00

And crystal stickers on clearance also from Michaels $1.00 for 40

Only 12 more days & I dont know If Im more excited or sad that in just 2 weeks all this fun planning will be over!!! Ive been engaged for almost 6 yrs ~ (we'e been together for 10) & Ive been "ENGAGED" for so long and now Ive been a "BRIDE" for the past 6 months....Im going to miss it. Is that weird? Wedding planning has consumed me 24/7 and I love it ~ I think its going to be strange not to be in the middle of it anymore....I wish I had more time. For any brides who are still awhile out from their Big Day enjoy it because time has flown by!!!

Whats the proper etiquette when tipping your Vendors??? How much and who do you tip ???? Please Help!

I have had nothing but bad experiences w/ this website. I placed my order at the beginning of May & I still dont have everything in....and Im 16 days away! I ordered personalized water bottle labels, personalized candy wrappers, labels, unity candle, memorial candle holder, and ring bearer pillow. I started calling them in early June and after about 12 phone calls back & forth and about 100 excuses from them it took my mom getting on the phone to get any answers. Finally all my labels were sent out first (y just them i dont know) but when they got here in late June they were all wrong...color, they said 2007, etc.... when I called the manager was very nice and said the machines were broke...blah blah blah..long story short she was sending out a whole other set right away...well that was at the end of June and I just got the tracking number and its not coming in till around the 14th. The second half of the order came in the other day finally and it was all ok but the experience as a whole was uncalled for and stressful. So I suggest to not even bother with this site ... its not worth it!

Today my trees came in...YAY! I ordered 5 four foot bright white bendable Manzanita Tress already secured in a vase with white rock for $82.00 a piece and 3 - 30 foot rope of crystals w/ silver hooks for only $27.99 a piece(which Im thrilled w/ they look just like the more expensive ones on Crystalier). Right now I have 8 - 1 foot ropes hanging from the tree...Im probably going to add a few more because im also using them on my other 4 floral centerpieces and I still have some left over. Im very happy w/ them :). Im probably going to tie a silver or Tiffany Blue ribbon around the vase too.

I had my first fitting ~ they still need to pull out the slip more to make it more "poofy" :) what do you think? Im so excited! I just definately cant gain any weight in the next 17 days, lol.

Any Brides know any great websites where i can find good prices on brooches for my bridesmaids sashes.....please help 20 days out from the Big Day!

I came across this website and they have a huge selection of Acylic beads & if you click on pendants they have 30 ft long glass crystals for all kinds of decor...plus lots of ideas. They are very reasonable and I even ordered in a white 3 foot tree to decorate for my centerpieces, Check it out. After trying to decide between all of the expensive web sites like Crystalier ...etc. this website was a great find!

Yesterday we made the final payment on our honeymoon...yay! I have mixed emotions because Im thrilled to be going but not so thrilled w/ the flight..EEK! Plus its our first time out of the country....here we come St. Lucia!

So I think Ive decided on these ...the picture doesnt really do it justice but they sparkle all over. What do you think? Is 3 inch heels too tall? Im 5'7 my guys 5'10

Is anybody else having their mom as their Maid of Honor? She was definately the best pick ~ we're the best of friends and a lot of you who are just starting to plan will probably come to find that the bridesmaids who you picked might be excited and up for it NOW but when it comes down to it and its time to start putting in all the time and money on showers, parties, etc. they might not be all that cooperative anymore : )

My fiance is gone this weekend for his BAchelor PArty Trip. I actually helped his best man plan it & they're staying over night in Fort Lauderdale and doing a 6 hr Fishing Charter tomorrow. Pretty low key but after 10 yrs together the crazy kind of party is a little pointless ... he hasnt been a bachelor for years :)

What are your men doing for theirs and did u have any say in the planning???

So my wedding is 1 month from today & BIG NEWS my dress is finally in ... YAY! Im going next week for my first fitting. Yep nothing to stress about ~ HA!

Just thought Id share some pics of my beautiful shower my mom gave. If you're looking for shower games we played the toilet paper Wedding Dress game and The Honeymoon outfit game where I was blindfolded ~ given a suit case w/ embarrasing honeymoon clothes ~ and had to get dressed w/ no help while everyone laughed ~ tons of fun, lol.

So invitations went out last week and on the reception card it says Adult Reception Please and it wasnt a surprise because we had some family spreading the word about it ahead of time so people could get babysitters. So here lies the problem even after people have read it they still have asked me can they bring their kids.......What do i do now? I had only planned on having the wedding party kids there now if i start saying yes to others feelings will be hurt, etc......... Ugh!

So I think Ive decided on this for the Gobo ( monogram in lights) for my dance floor. What do u guys think?

Im in the process of making petal cones for the guest to use after the reception but now Im not sure if I should of picked sparklers since we're exiting after dark. What should I do? Since I had my heart set on these darn petal cones (which are a B!&*H to make by the way ~ but are turning out cute) can I use both or is that silly???

Ok Ladies, Im just not very creative because for the life of me I cant come up w/ an Entrance Song for the Reception ~ I want something fun that everyone kind of knows. I cant settle on a cake cutting song either ~ I was thinking Sugar Sugar or Pour some Sugar on me. Father/ Daughter dance I have nothing ~ Ive seen a lot of u are using the Heartland song which is a pretty song but i think I want an older classic song like Frank Sinatra or something. Garter Toss too???

I saw a few brides do this and I thought it was the greatest thing! Ok so we look a litl scarey, LOL, but I love being able to actually get a visual on what everything will look like together. :)

So Ive decided to name each table after something in Cinderella. I have nine tables and plenty of ideas for each BUT i want the placecards to go w/ the theme of the table & they only make placecard holders for a few of them....like the carriage, the glass slipper, the castle..... but I need like some kind of clock for the stroke of midnight table, musical notes for the bippity boppity boo table, fairy godmother......etc...... Any ideas? I was thinking of some kind of stencil and just make some kind of cut out but no luck there..... u guys are sooo creative so please HELP.

My Candy Table Letters are done! My "I DO" letters however are a work in progress....i ran out of lit'l crystals. When its done though if i go w/ the crystal banding on the cake it should look nice on the cake table. Pictures of my card box will be up soon too...its almost finished.

So as those of you know who have read my previous CAKE blogs .....the cake thing has NOT been easy ~go figure. Well today I booked my cake finally, yay, and I saved $300.00 from what my venue was going to charge me, yay again! Im so excited but still up in the air about colors. I want a round 3 tier cake just like the one in the pic w/ the blue cake BUT I think Im going to be a little bold and do it in tiffany blue ~ w/ the cystal banding around it but thinner than pictured ~ and a litl design to match my dress on the top and bottom tier (not too much, i dont want it too busy) and maybe the Happily Ever After on the middle tier......What do u guys think ???

So for all u WE go Bridal Night lovers out there Platinum Weddings (my personal favorite ~ and one of the reasons my wedding cost keeps rising probably,lol,so many cute ideas!) plus Bridezilla (which I cant even begin to relate to of coarse, ha ha) starts tonight...yay!

So today I started my first DIY project ~ actually I started two at the same time. Im making this card box & yes I know I said Im supposed to be staying away from the actual Tiffany Box theme but I couldnt resist this one thing (if you buy it from the website its $109.00) . Im also making my blue and white letters for the candy table. Wish me luck ~ my fingers are already blue from all the spray paint. :)

So at first we had an open bar for 5 hrs. well we eventually changed that too 2 hrs open bar then it turns into cash. Well now im thinking of saving a lit'l more money and just doing open bar for cocktail hour then changing it to cash bar for the rest of the night. Any thoughts??? I mean its our day but we're already spending tons to feed and entertain our guests ~ do we really need to pay to get them tipsy too, LOL?

How much is everyone spending on their cake? Just curious because I just got the estimate from my all inclusive venue and my jaw dropped! For a 3 tier cake with scroll work its around $800.00!?!
WT Freak ~ is this normal?


UPDATE: I canceled the cake today at my Venue ! I figured that after hearing what all of you spent that they were probably charging so much because its in house. Im starting from scratch ~wish me luck!

Just thought Id share my freak out w/ everyone......today is 2mths TO GO ! ahhhhhhhh! so much to do :)

So I want to incorporate Pink into my Tiffany Blue/White/Silver Accent wedding. I def. want my bouquet to be pink ~ maybe a dark pink ~ and the girls with maybe a light pink or coral (there dresses are pool) ?!? What do u think? Are you incorporating any other shades to your Tiffany Blue wedding?
