Taste test
Wedding meal chosen!!!
Last night we had our taste test at the wedding venue and we were very happy with it all.
Following the ceremony hordeurves and my signature drink will be served. Then we have an antipasto platter with grilled veggies, grilled shrimp and other seafood, proscutto, cheeses, etc. It was soooo good!!!!  Second course is a pasta dish, we chose a crepe filled with ricotta and spinach topped with a rose sauce...it was to DIE for!!!!  Main course is a pork chop topped with provolone and bacon with mashed potatoes and veggies.  Then a garden salad will be served and for desert we're just doing a sorbet...its an outdoor summer wedding, so we thought it would be best. We're sooo looking forward to this meal now!!!!! |

changing your last name?
Are any others feeling the same way about having to change your last name, that you've had your entire existance??? It's a little scary knowing that my name I have had my entire life will be taken away from me.
It feels like a part of my identity and even though my last name brought alot of jokes and rhymed with some not so funny words, I've learned to love it...its short and sweet. FH has a longer last name, plus I gaurentee I'll have to spell it out to everyone who needs to know....grrrrr. I'm soooo excited to marry the man of my dreams, but are any of you feeling the same???? |

July 10th brides...
Countdown is officially ON!!!!
3 months to go!!!!! I can't wait!!!!!!!!! Everything has come together nicely and it's now starting to feel real. We have our first shower coming up May 2nd!! YAAAAAAAA :)

So I've seen a few other WBC brides introducing your bm's and thought why not...I am so lucky to have all these amazing ladies in my life and am sooo unbelieveably happy that they will be standing up with me on my wedding day!

Mom's Wedding Dress
Did your mom save her wedding dress for you???
This weekend I was up visiting the rents and my mom brought out her wedding dress. So I tried it on and here it is! haha. Isn't it HILARIOUS!!!!
Have any of your mothers saved their dresses for you to wear on the big day...and are any of you actually going to wear it?? I felt like I was a 5 yr old little girl playing dress up!!! It was fun, but I would NEVER wear this thing walking down the aisle. It would be nice to take something off of it maybe for something old?!?! Anyways, it was alot of fun to try on and atleast get some pix of me in the dress my mom got married in. So now I'm re-thinking selling my dress after the wedding, because I would want my daughter to be able to do the same thing...were any of you thinking about selling your dress after???? |

No more stressing....
Its all coming together!!!
Now that my invite drama is overwith and I can relax, I needed a little pick me up to see how everything I've done so far would look all together...and Im soooo happy!!!!
 I don't have any good pics of my damask linens, but I think and hope it will all go well with the rest!!!! I'm going for elegant, classic and a little fun tied into one... |

Need to vent...
Kinkos SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have since heard back from Kinkos telling us that they can not match up the invites to the rsvp cards and that there is nothing further they can do? WTF???? They printed the rsvp cards, so how in the heck can you not match it to the invites that are the same colour!!!!!????
So now I'm just waiting to hear back from the divisional manager at their head office. I'll let ya know how it goes....I so just want to go elsewhere and just get these printed on normal cardstock! But FH thinks we should just wait until we hear back from head office to see what they have to say..... I have now heard back from Kinkos H.O. and they are reprinting the invites on their stock of my choice all for free, so this will cover the cardstock costs that I had bought previously. Its all done now and they look great...will be mailing them out this week! :) |

Shoes for a Tall Bride
Are you having the same problem???
Are you having as hard of a time as me to find a stylish shoe that doesn't have a 6 inch heel on it!!!???
I'm 5'10 and so is my FH, I don't normally have an issue wearing higher heels with him and being a little taller, but this is our wedding day and I want to be atleast the same height for photo opps... I have it down pact on how to stand with one knee bent for pictures so I look a bit shorter than him...haha. Do any of you do that too??? Anyways, I have had a horrible time trying to find the perfect shoe. I'm not a ballet flat type girl, I want something a little more elegant and stylish. I've been looking EVERYWHERE for a peep toe kitten heel with no more than 1 - 1.5 inch heel on it. But all I can find are "old lady" shoes. I have found 1, JUST 1 shoe that is somewhat presentable for a choice, so wanted to share it with you other tall brides, as I know how hard it can be to find. And also if any of you found something similar elsewhere, if you could help a fellow tall bride out...I would be eternally grateful ;)  The shoe is by dyeables.com and I would dye it a dark eggplant colour. The other photo is of the shoeclips that I like. I'm hoping it would dress it up a bit more.  |
