I had my first florist visit this past Saturday and it went totally different then what I expected. My first visit was OUTSTANDING! I was scared as crap and didn't know what to expect since I'm not a "flowers" girl.
I felt as though my ideas were all over the place and the florist wasn't going to be able to follow. Well I was mistaken, she told me that I was a rarity...most brides do not come in as prepared as I did.
If I can give any words of advices, print off as many pictures of floral arrangements that you like to give to the florist so they can envision your day. It gives them a sense of what you like! Be prepared to know who many people are in your wedding party and how many people you want to receive some type of arrangement. If you are aware of your cake, share images of that as well along with how many tables you are expecting to have at the reception.
By me having all of this information it made it so much easier for the florist to envision my day. ASK QUESTIONS!!! Don't assume they know everything or you for that matter!!!
Here are some ideas I've finalized with them for a ceremony and centerpieces....
