This is jlsnyder83's Chocolate Wedding!

I am having trouble deciding what to do for dinner! I really like the idea of having 5-6 stations with all different kinds of food at each. For example, one to be a salad station with all the salad fixings, a pasta station, meat station, maybe mashed potato station, maybe Chinese or Mexican food at one. Has anyone done this type of thing?? The other two options are still lingering also, sit down or typical buffet. What does everyone think?? Any advice, thoughts, experience, or opinions would be helpful!!!

I am so excited to be engaged and start making plans for a winter wedding. I found this website today, and I love it! My FH, Wayne purposed on April 18th, in our home. It was perfect for us, nothing too fancy, but very emotional for both of us. He got down on one knee, and said my full name and started crying before he finished what he had to say. I said yes of course through my own tears, it was just what I had always pictured.

Now it has been about two months and we have picked a date and colors and some small things. I am running into a problem, I do not know how to go about handling. My parents have said that they want to help in paying for the wedding. I am not sure how much they want to help though. They have not told me, I thought they would have just said. I am eager to plan and look into things but I can't go much further if I don't know what kind of help we are going to get. Should I just come out and ask them, or wait until they tell me. I don't want to be rude about it, but I am excited and want to start looking into things. I am close to my mom, but she doesn't talk much about the wedding, and it bothers me... PLEASE LEAVE ADVICE!! Did anyone go through something similar?
