Wedding Planning At a Standstill

I'm Bored!

Oh my gosh I know how you feel, we're getting married in May 2012 also. We just booked our venue which takes care of the catering as well and confirmed a photographer and I've also spent oodles of hours browsing etsy's wedding category, have a dress picked out and all that jazz its tough to figure out what we can do now. I think I'm going to pick out some fabrics and make handkerchiefs for our favors so that should take up some of the time, but I totally hear what you're saying

work on smaller details then, like a time line or seating charts, u can still work on your website and add pics later, do u have any DIY projects u can work on? ,shoot mine is till 2014 lol! but i keep my self busy made a check list on the same site i used to make my website so i can see what i can do and what can wait.

I'm kind of at that point too. I still have a lot to do, but there isn't much for me to do right NOW.

I feel you. The only thing we have to do now is actually just buy the stuff lol. I don't know why anyone thinks its so hard to plan a wedding lol.

We were engaged in nov and we're getting married in June. It's been non-stop decision making. But its been fun :) still have a lot to do!

Ok, so you could work out what your favours will be (and, since you've got time, you could make some really creative ones!), you can start putting together music playlists... for playing the whole time the reception is on, for coming in and out of the church etc, and for the dancing of course.That has something I've been working on bit by bit for months!

If you know how you want your decor to look, you might be able to find it CHEAPER than you expected if you spend time keeping your eyes open during the next few months. Or even DIY it all if you can.

My wedding is also in May 2012 and I have my venue, photographer, cinematographer, & DJ booked, so I thought now I'll wait until the holidays are over... so they are over and I started a list of things to do every month until next January 2012. From now to May, no big things will be done. I've been ordering the little things we will need like our flutes, cake serving set, cake topper ect... I've also been collecting idea's for my cakes, centerpiece's (which are a pain) and gift's for my bridal party. I've booked our STD pictures for April, and then will make our save the dates and send them out in May. So I have just been keeping myself busy like that. Make a list of things to do every month until about 3 months from the wedding. Then when your 3 months away, make sure you have all the little things done (which you do now) and just take care of what needs to be taken care of for the next 3 months like marriage license, liquor license honeymoon packing ect...

Thanks for the advice Ladies. I was just having a "bored" moment. I realize that there is alot to be done. I just get so excited about the planning sometimes that  I just want to keep going when I really should be taking time to enjoy the process.
