Need help with wording for Programs
I have decided to include a my best girl friends from high school in the processional. These girls have been my best friends since high school and a major part of helping me through this process of "getting married" by praying with me consistently and being very, very helpful. They are not bridesmaids but I still want to include them. I will have them walk and be seated before my family. I just need help with what to call them.... Honorary Guests, Sister Circle of Love... I need to be able to put this on my program. Help!!!

Hello Beautiful Colors! I have been away planning and working and just have not had time to to post. I picked up my shoes the other day and just had to share these beauties... I saw a pair of Benjamin Adams crystalized pumps at a bridal show a little while ago. They were white based. Me, trying to stray away from traditional, wanted mines in fuchsia but they were not made that way. So I asked the bridal shop if they can do it and my goodness THEY DID!!!!! Brittany at Bella Rose Bridal shop in Shelby, MI exceeded my expectations with these shoes..... This picture does these shoes absolutely no justice! Whatcha think?

Bridal Shower Vs. Wedding:
Is it tacky to invite people to the Bridal Shower and not the Wedding?
We have really pushed our numbers and I have a few people (like co-workers) that I would like to invite but I just can't. Is it tacky to invite people to the Bridal Shower but not the wedding?

Bouquet Clutches... The Clutches have ARRIVED!
Hey there WBC! It's been a long time since I've posted. I've been adjusting to all that is going on in my life. Since I have a little time on this lovely Sunday afternoon, I thought I'd blog a little. So..... after watching David Tutera one Sunday evening, I decided that I just had to have my bridesmaids carry bouquet clutches instead of bouquets! So, I searched high, I searched low, and FINALLY found a picture from that particular episode! After that, I searched high, I searched low and I FINALLY reasonably priced black "satin" clutches!!!!!!! And they just arrived on yesterday. I went to Hobby Lobby and grabbed the flowers since they were 50% off and I can't wait to get to working on them! Has anyone else considered this or made any yet???? Let me know whatcha think!

Wedding Dress
365 Days to my Wedding!!!!!! Yay! Time to get the ball rolling...
I had been avoiding trying on dresses because I have gained so much weight over the past year. Today, I went in the my bridal store because I changed my mind about the bridesmaids dresses and needed to let the store know to change the style number. While I was in there, my consultant was excited to show me a new dress that had just come in. I wasn't considering mermaid and don't really care for stones all over this dress but I must say it was STUNNING. I see myself falling in love with this dress. The first picture is me in it. I would need it altered around the hip area to get it to have the mermaid effect and add some crinolyn (sp.?).The next two are pics of them on Mary's site (please try to see it without the horrid hair piece).
Questions: What do you think about the detachable train? Is it out-dated? The other two pics are pics of the types of dress that I have been looking at and picturing myself in. This is also made by Mary's what do you think? |

Where can I find a purse like this?
I was watching My Fair Wedding w/David Tutera and he did a fabtastic job with this bride who wanted a vintage glam type wedding. What I LOVED about this episode was how the bridesmaids had clutches with three calla lilies attached and that is what they walked down the aisle with. It was so original and non-traditional... I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!! It definitely looks like a possible DIY AND appears to be cheaper than bouquets (especially when you have 9 BM's) however, I am not that crafty.
Did anyone else see this episode and have any ideas as to how to create them? What about the purse in my picture? Does anyone know where to get that from in a berry color? What do you think about this idea as an alternative to the BM's Bouquets? Help!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Hey there lovelies! I'm back for a visit to WBC... even though I haven't been posting I've still been keeping up with the latest on you gal's blogs. I wanted to give an update:
My cousin, (from the Matron of Honor post) has come to her senses and she is going to be one of my Matron's.... Today we went to look at the Bridesmaids dress and start up the account. I saw a dress that I had been eyeing on the Maggie site and decided to give it a try. I am 30 pounds heavier than I plan to be on the big day but I did slightly fall in love with it (without the belaro). Here it is. Now this is one of the few that I have tried on on my own, without an audience and the first time that I actually liked anything on me. What do you think? |
