Bouquet: To throw or not to throw?

I'm sure I am original with this one: I want my wedding to be "different" ;)
No, really... I just want to change things up a bit which is why I fell in love with the Unity Cross and now I'm considering not throwing the bouquet but I am looking for an alternative. Over at the Weddingbee I saw some BTB's buzzing about dedicating the bouquet to someone special. I am considering dedicating it to my mom. Also, a friend of mine's sister threw out a string of pearls to the "single ladies". I love that idea too. So I think that I am going to do both. Dedicate my bouquet to my mom and then throw a string of pearls to the single ladies... Chime on in ladies!

I don't know where I read it, but I'm going to throw single Roses tied with a ribbon, and a lucky charm tied to it.  My Bouquet will be given to my Daughter to give het Man a big old hint!!! LOL

first reading this my reaction was like "huh? not throwing the bouquet" then reading on i feel in love with this idea!

I love the string of pearls idea! I've been to enough weddings where no one wants to stand to catch the bouquet, but with a little gifty, I bet the ladies would be much more excited to catch it!

I love the idea of the dedicated bouquet! So so so sweet.
The only potential problem I see with the string of pearls is that two ladies could break it, depending on how determined they are to make it theirs! lol.
