First I would like to say how proud I was that the FH attended the bridal show with me :) I felt like we were really sharing the time for planning our wedding by looking at vendors cake tasting from bakers that part was wonderful and def. had fun with him.
Now lets get into what was not that great...So this show took place in a hotel. This was a smaller bridal show than the previous one I attended back in May. They had the vendors in one of there smaller ballrooms so it was a tight fit and they had to align chairs in the middle to create a runway for the bridal fashion show so the space was even more limited and therefore not many seats for the attendants. Since it was in a hotel they also promoted there ceremony and reception space it was located on the 14th floor and they said it was a premier spot to have your ceremony and reception. I beg to differ I mean seriously....Why you ask? Well lets see when you walked in the door it had such a funny smell it smelled like mildew. The ceremony space was next door to an indoor pool and the cholorine smell was literaly coming through the walls and the carpet was a wet. I started to feel a little sick to be honest around the corner from there was the reception area. It had huge window however the only view was a lot of construction and a highway nothing special. Next there chef made some food to taste but it was not really that good. We no longer could take it and went back down to the ballroom where the fair was held.
The fashion show was so disorganized it would be extra long pauses because the models were taking long to get dressed since they were so short on models. Also the dresses were to big for the model and it swallowed them up so you couldnt really get a good idea of the style. The dresses were a little out dated in style and just was not good. There were a few dresses with puffy topps and long sleaves. If you like that then more power to you just not my liking.
They also had the drawings for prizes. They had a big tub with your registration paper that you filled out as you walked in. They drew a paper and placed it back in but they didnt really mix up so that others would have a fair chance so the same brides were winning two, three and some four times since there names were never really mixed up. The only other plus is the tickets were free however I dont think I will go back to this paticular companies bridal shows. :(
