Wedding Cake
Heeeellllllp! Wedding Cake.. I hate icing.

OK we all know everyone shows up to a wedding for 3 things:

1. To ooh and aaah over the bride

2. To get drunk and party

3. To ooh and aaah over the wedding cake

Patrick and I are getting married in the Fall which opens us up for lots of food choices for our reception, and some very interesting choices for wedding cake flavors...

Only problem is neither one of us like icing... especially ultra sweet icing. I'm the one that shaves off most of the icing off of cupcakes, and slice it politely off the top of any cake I eat.

I have some cake tastings lined up in the near future, and I have no idea how either one of us will make it through. lol

I plan to bring my MOH ( get ready Allison!) and Matron (Hi Addie!) with me as well as my mom.. who knows! if the cake turns out to be great, I can take the credit and call it a day.

just kidding ladies! well, kind of!

Somebody give me pointers on choosing a cake, how to choose the numbe of tiers, and how to know whether I'm getting a great deal or not since Patrick and I probably won't be eating too much of it.

oh- and does anybody else out there think the whole idea of freezing cake for a whole year absolutely disgusting? I'm just saying.. please weigh in, I need pointers!

thanks! *giggles*

You can try cake pops. That's what we are doing because we're not big fans of super cakes with lots of icing either. It would make it easier for distribution too. Yes, it's cake on a stick, but so great.

Here's a link to a cake pop cake : http://www.scoopcharlotte.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/group-cake-pops.jpg
