DIY Wedding
Finally done with engagement party invites! whew! thank you vistaprint!

ok... so I received the engagement party invites from vista print and I'm excited they look exactly like I designed..

Like I've mentioned our wedding theme is modern vintage/ softly romantic and our colors are eggplant and burnt orange.

Since our engagement party is in late May, I wanted to lighten up the colors to capture the mood of summer but still set the tone for what type of event people were attending.

We will be in my hometown in a theatre, and to play up the architecture as well as the vintage feel, I went with a flocking/damask design and created our seals to incorporate a nice chandelier that matches one I saw in the theatre.

Luckily I was on the site at the right time and got the invitations for less than the usual 10/$9.99 price. When I signed up for their bridal program at http://www.vistaprint.com/thebigday I was able to get 140 invites for less than $40 including envelopes... with my seals (24 on a sheet for $2.99) and shipping I saved a ton of money.

What's also nice is they automatically show you matching sets of other things once you choose your design like Save the Date Cards, your wedding menu, Tshirts, pens, magnets, calendars, RSVP cards, bridal shower invitations, you name it!

Now if I can just stamp all of these bad boys I will be happy! Thankfully my mom, Maid of Honor and my cousin who is also serving as my Matron of Honor besides my sister will be helping getting these invites out, stamped or hand-delivered in the next week.

I don't know what I'd do without great deals and ladies! whew! what a whirlwind week this has been already.
