I've been to sooo many weddings where the Bride and Groom are literally inacessible.. haulted high on platforms, far away from guests, and sometimes not even sitting with their wedding party.
That won't be us.
I've been looking more and more into the King's Table idea, where the Head table is long tables put together in the middle of the room, with the Bride and Groom at the head and the wedding party sitting across from each other gracing the sides.
I love this idea because it puts the Bride and Groom in the middle of all the action and allows them to be a true part of the wedding, not spectators of the guests. Also, for the hugs, congrats, and kisses on the cheeks that I fully expect from family and friends, it makes it alot easier for our guests to actually reach us.
If you know anything about King's Table setups, leave your tips here. I'm all ears on best practices and mock-ups..
