So... the universe will put you in the position to tap into talents you never knew you had, like creating brooch bouquets and bridemaids bouquets! lol
Not sure if this will be the final design with these flowers, but after tinkering around with my glue gun, some ribbon, pearl pins, sprays of pearls, a lace bouquet holderfrom Hobby Lobby ($4.99) , and lots... and I mean LOTS of patience from my FH to wait on me to finish (we were planninng to watch a movie at home after I got off work), I have at least made my first-in-my-life DIY bouquet.
We had put money to the side for a florist, and perhaps that will be the move to go, but I couldn't resist the urge to at least try...
jury is still out, but what do you think of the overall design? hmmmm....
I think the flowers need to be bolder so they won't get lost in the dresses..and I know the stem where I wrapped it needs to be much much thicker... I may just use this one as a prop somewhere, but we will see...
please share any best practices for all you DIY brides out there that have a knack for floral design!!
