Ask a Question
Wedding Wands for Exit?

Has anyone actually been to a wedding where people have used wedding wands in their sendoff? Or has anyone made them for their upcoming wedding?

We can not use rice, confetti, birdseed, or sparklers, so that basically leaves us with the option of bubbles or wedding wands. (or any other suggestions anyone may have that I haven't thought of?) I think they look neat, I am just curious as to what the guests think ... this is a project I would do in the next couple of days if we do it, so please give me some feedback!

Also, there are so many ribbon options - does anyone know which kind would work or which kind to avoid? If you could let me know that would be great ... Thank you!!

I personally love the wands!  The ONLY negative comment I've ever heard from someone is that they felt like a kid waving the wands & that they'd rather do sparklers.   Clearly, you can't please everybody (reminds me of the "terrible" wedding trends comments, lol).  But, like I said, I think they're lovely & fun.  They make cute pics.

I've never even seen this trend before!  I'm not allowed anything that requires any "clean up" either, and given those restrictions, this is a lovely idea.

I think it's super cute:)  I am set on sparklers, but have thought about having them at the reception to welcome us when we enter the room.   They really do make great pics.

I think they are definitely cute....and you should go for it.  It's something that has hit big yet--as bubbles have been around for awhile.

I think they are a great alternative to the regular (bubbles). I would find the a thick ribbon that won't shred.

Here's a link I found:

hey, I am planning on using the wands. Our sites don't allow anything except rose petals, and I did not want to use bubbles. I bought all the supplies I need, now I just need to put them together. I will let you know if I find any cool inspiration. ;)

Okay - got all of the stuff for them today at Hobby Lobby :)  ended up spending only $50 for the tools to make 200 of them (due to their as usual awesome sale prices!!)  I'll post pics of them when they are complete :)
