Wedding programs?!

Is anyone else going to have a program at their wedding. I just heard about them and was looking at different ideas to do them.

We are having a very non traditional ceremony and not to mention 'bible-less'. The ceremony is going to be outdoors and at the beginning of July. My initial thought for programs could be printed fans so that they guests could be informed of what is going on as well as a way to cool them down if it is hot out.

What do you ladies think? Do you have any suggestions or websites that make programs?

I'd suggest you check weddingwire.com and ayleebits.com for inspiration and templates. I'm personally doing a Reception programme so that ppl can follow.

we're also doing a non-traditional, bible-less wedding ceremony, but we decided to go without programs.

our reasons were:
#1 it isn't like people are going to have to follow along with songs or hymns or readings
#2 programs usually just get thrown out right away
#3 we feel like there are other things that our time and money could be better spent on for the wedding

i do like the idea of fan programs if you're going to be outside in june though.

we are not doing prgrams either for all the reasons sarahdarling mentioned! i even had someone offer to make them for me but i just didn't want them

I think programs are important when you are doing something "non traditional"  Jeff and I are Pagan, we want to make sure our guests kind of have an explanation of what is happening in the ceremony. Programs are the best way to do this! I love your fan idea that is sweet! I'm making all my stationary.

im using paddle fans. goes perfect with my ceremony. im having a outdoor ceremony in mind july in southern cali lol so they r needed. im excited to start them!
