Turning into BRIDEZILLA! - So many things i'm pissed about.. - JULYBRIDE's Blue Wedding by Color Blog

I think i just need to vent. I think i've been really reasonable and calm so far but I believe it's now all getting to me.

first: invitations came in MOH sent in her list of guests so many ppl on it (can't complain cause they have contributed to my wedding quite largely) BUT a few months ago RH and I sat down with his parents and explained that we are only inviting 80 ppl therefore i'm only ordering 60 invitiations (made this clear over and over again) parents guest should be around 10 ppl all together. (is this unreasonable with jus an 80 person guestlist) now FMIL tells me that she doesn't remember that convo.

second: my parents have a list of 16 ppl not family when asked who's list they are going on my dad replies "they are family" wtf so whos' list are they going on. both FH and I have added some family to our lists.

Third: i think that the bridesmaids dress look better longer (see pic below in previous post) not shorter. becuase they are wearing silver heels i think if it's shorter i think it looks like they are going out for dinner on a friday night instead of attending a wedding!

forth: found that how much more canada sucks..can't find waterproof paper anywhere in toronto for my waterbottle labels. staples suck they didn't even know what i was talking about.

Fifth: my shower..apparently the guests list is growing .. it even includeds ppl i dont even know or have even met!

sixth: i'm now second guesting my dress i don't think i like it anymore. (see a few post below you will find a pic)

Seventh: maps for wedding. FMIL saw my invitations and first thing she said..are there no maps.. we are in 2009 everyone have a computer look it up! now my invitations should have already gone out but i still have them and now i have to do friggin maps! my friends don't care about the damn maps they know how to use google and mapquest. plus i have a wedding site with all the info and maps!

ohh my head hurts

So i've decided that this is my damn wedding and i'm not gonna be a push over anymore! so bring it on cause i'm now switching to bridezilla mode if they don't like it they know where to go!

Take a break from wedding planning for a day.

I looked at your wedding dress below, don't second guess it, it's gorgeous. Your wedding ideas below are beautiful, you should feel proud of everything you've done.
Guest list will work itself out, it always does.
Tell your guests to go to a wedding website to see the map.

1st of all I think your wedding dress is really really beautiful and dont' second guess yourself, You fell in love with it for a reason and you might just be having second thoughts because your feeling just overwhelmed. Sit down have a glass of wine or 2 or 3 ha ha and take it one step at a time.

As for the invitations not having a Map I wouldn't worry about that AT ALL..like you said..they can look it up online if they wish. People always manged to find addresses before they had computers so it's not a big deal at all.

Me personaly I think the Bridesmaid dress look better now but that's just my opinion. They will look very elegant and classy.

Last but not least......it'll all work out in the end, everything happens for a reason but it always makes sense at the end and your wedding will be perfect like you planned it. Good Luck and take my advise on the wine ;-) ha ha

I think your dress is GORGEOUS!

First of all, its your wedding. I had to fight out guestlist issues with my FMIL too. It happens and will eventually blow over. Second, I agree, your dress is beautiful. Remind yourself what you liked about it, and stop looking at other dresses. That way, you won't question yourself any further. About the maps... I didn't do that either. I only have one aunt coming to my wedding from out of province, so I'm doing up an out of town guest gift bag, and I'll toss one in there. Otherwise, everyone can google it if they don't know where it is. I agree about the Canada dilemma, but be creative and look up other ways to work your DIY. You'll figure it out, otherwise, online shopping is gold. Finally, do whatever you want for the bridesmaids dresses. If you want longer get longer and the girls can shorten them after the wedding if they'd like. My wedding if fairly casual so I liked the tea length dresses, but everyone is different so let the theme and style of your wedding direct those choices.
I think everything will turn out beautifully, and if you're feeling stressed, take a break. A day or two or three off isn't going to cause your planning to fall apart. Breathe and remember you and your man are getting married, and its going to be YOUR remarkable day!

Believe me I know how you fill. I been turn into bridezilla. I try not to but its always something. But I love your dress that is the one to me, The bridemaid dress go perfect with your dress dont change it. I thought I should have got long dresses for my bridemaid, I thought I should have gotten a different dress and did but guest what dress I'm walking down in? the first one. So go with your first mind on eveything and it will work out fine.
