How Do I Decorate This Place?

Hello! So, I just started planning my September 2012 wedding. I have my church, venue, caterer and DJ booked. Now, I need to figure out how to decorate my reception venue. It is a very rustic "raw" space, I've included some pics and I need to do all the decorations. Because it is on the registry of historical places there are ALOT of rules, no nails/tacks, candles are regulated, 2 fireplaces but no fires etc..) From what I have seen a lot of other couples use christmas lights and chinese lanterns, but I was hoping for something a little different. Although I may still use those too (globe lights instead of small christmas lights though). My color is Aubergine (dark wine/purple color) and I haven't picked an accent color but I want to use seasonal flowers (dahlias; gerber daisies; spider mums; mums; sunflowers) so I will take suggestions on that too. It is at a state park in the woods & on the beach but its not a "theme" wedding.
If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate hearing them!

I would do long tables in the hall, seating about 12 people per table and have 3 centerpeices on them. The hall looks large and has length to the room, so work with it.
If you can wrap somthing on the pillars (like tool with christmas lights etc). Have a backdrop and decorated tables....
I don;t know what picture 4 is, but it actually looks nice as it is. Maybe add some fall flowers there.
The scenery is beyond beautiful from the window picture...

I just love the wooden pillers through out the venue. I would definitely utilize those with lots of tulle and florals. If they let you use push pins, it is going down!  You can even slope the tulles in a gather across to the other pillars like arches!  The florals can be mounted with pew cones and florals inside of them.  Oh my goodness, my mind is a ticking...Love it.  Now the outside sloped area, are you having dancing outside the venue, if so I would put the DJ up on the grassy area slope and have him entertain up there and have people dancing outdoors. I didn't see what month your wedding is in, but wowie! I would take it to another level with it. Possibly lounge furniture on the slope hill with the music piped outside.  Good luck...it's a beautiful venue.

Thank You girls! Picture #4 is the patio area and there will be two high top cocktail tables out there. No chairs are allowed out there though because it is also the roof to the first floor and the weight distribution of a chair could damage it. I like it the way it is as well, they provide flowers for the boxes.
I'm unable to do long tables because there are round tables provided by the hall, 3 fit across the hall and then we could split the room in half and do dancing & bar on one end and tables on the other.
I definetly need to start looking for tulle in my colors you are both right. I wasn't going to do much outside because it is a state park and anyone could walk through that area (the pavilion is the only place that is private). But I am setting up a S'Mores pit out there later in the evening.
