I so can't wait to make a card box... I love all these DIY projects. I believe this one is going to be the best one of all... lol But instead of using square boxes. I'm going to use round and heart shaped ones... I went to Michaels to check what kind they have... And I wasn't really impressed with anything there... The cashiers was really rude... Nobody was around for help. I bought a picture frame and that'll be the last item I buy from there... Hobby Lobby had a great selection of boxes. All shapes and sizes... And there customer service is great... They were really helpful and giving out ideas left and right... lol Here I am posting about a darn card box and I'm giving you a rating on the stores I went to lol...

My Garter

You know the saying...
"Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue"
I did find "something blue"... I've been searching high and low for the right garter set. And I finally found it! I was thinking about adding a heart charm. Not really sure what I'm going to use for the other "somethings"... I'll post once I figure it out =)

Old
The "old" item represents something you are leaving behind or something that is being passed down to you.

New
The "new" item represents something you are adopting through your marriage or something that is unique to your new union.

Borrowed
The "borrowed" item should be symbolic of something you respect or admire about someone or something.

Blue
The "blue" item really has no symbolism that we can think of - it simply rhymes with "new." Try to select something hidden and small that only you (and later on, your new hubby!) know about..

Got this from the book DIY Bride... I thought I would share this... Def. something fun and different!


Predict The Furture of Mr. & Mrs. _________

1. Select a time 1, 5, 15, or 25 years ahead.

2. Write your predictions on the colored card that corresponds to the number of years ahead you want Mrs. or Mr. to read your message.

3. Fold the card in half and place it into the time capsule.

Not sure what to write? How about:

* How many children will they have by this date?
* Where will they be living?
*How many robots will they have in their house?
*Send a congratulatory note on reaching their anniversary.

Update on Flowers
Roses Will Be Our Choice!
Brandon's mother Rhonda and I went shopping today for flowers. Yes, I'm on a budget and I'm doing silk flowers... Our first stop was Hobby Lobby. When I walked in I just knew what I wanted. But did they have it? Why heck no lol. I started to stress out. Couldn't choose on the flower I wanted. I even thought about changing my colors! But Brandon told me I couldn't do that... I planned so much already... After 2 hours I finally found some beautiful silk roses.Can't really explain it, but once I get the bouquets finished I'll post pictures. I love the roses I picked. And the best part... 50% off baby oh yeah! Wow, I went from Calla Lilies to Stargazers Lilies and then to Gerbera Daisies and now I finally settled with Roses...Whew, I'm glad thats over with!

Do they really work?
About 8 months ago, I purchased the product "ProActive". Over the phone they guaranteed that this stuff works... So I used it twice a day. Once in the morning and once at night... I understand that it cleanses and some pimples will come up after the first couple months of use... Well it was well over 5 months and it seems it was just getting worse... So I did stop using the product. Does/has anybody else have this problem? So now I'm in a world of something lol! I have pimples that keep popping up now... I thought I was over this stage in life lol... Any suggestions? I just want my skin to be blemish free... And I want it way before the big day =)


*Update*
I've been using Clean & Clear Scrub... And let me tell ya. It works great... I've been using it twice a day for 4 days now and it has helped out a lot! Thanks so much for your emails and comments! You ladies are great!

My cousin asked me if I was going to do the Sand Ceremony. At first I wasn't sure. Now that I had the chance to read about it. I would love to do this at our wedding. I have two girls from a previous relationship, and Brandon and I have a little girl... I would love to have them apart of our unity as one. Even though we're that way with or without it. I believe this will be more meaningful for them and us. And we'll all be able to look at the vase and think of our little family on that special day...

The reason of a sand ceremony and use: To reflect the joining and blending of two lives into one, it is suggested to fill one cylinder with white sand to represent the couple’s spiritual foundation and to fill the other two cylinders each with a different colored sand to represent the individuals. During the ceremony each color is poured into the tall cylinder one by one (usually the minister adds the white sand first) and then all three or how many more are added together at the top to symbolize the union

Girly? ummm no....
I cut off 14" of my hair... Short in the back and comes to the front in an angle. Its cute I like it... I just can't decide if I want it short or long for the wedding. Thank god my hair grows fairly quick. I do have a tattoo on the back of my neck. So I know I don't want to be showing that for the pictures or anything. I love my tattoo don't get me wrong. But I would rather leave it out.

Make-up... I'm not a make-up girl. Eyeshadows, base... yeah not me... I normally slap on some concealer under my eyes, eyeliner and masscara and I'm out lol... 10 mintues tops for me...

I was trying to decide on the ceiling decorations. And I saw this picture with brown, green and ivory ball things hanging from the ceiling... Didn't know what the ceiling decorations was called... Looked for it every where...I thought it had something to do with a paper lantern. Got the paper right lol... So I searched high and low for it! Then I looked closely on the picture and it had the photographers name. Just wasn't looking close enough lol... So I went to his site... Searched his blog for this wedding... Then it popped up! They had a blog set up on Theknot.com. Thank god it was easy to find. Guess their wedding had a page in The Knot magazine... They had a beautiful wedding. And where they did the photo shoot was breath taking. Sorry, back to the point... Well, their reception description had the name of the little suckers... I was like whew! Finally! I tell ya, I'll do just about anything to find what I want... Even if I have to squent really hard to look at a damn name on a picture lol... I'll be using my colors for the darn things lol... Oh and they'll def. be cheaper than the paper lanterns...

Well not sure if we're going to have alcohol at our wedding... We plan on having it on a Thursday. Yeah kinda weird, but Brandon wants us to get married on the same day we met. If we do go with an "Open Bar". Our Signature Drink is going to be a "Chocolate Kiss Martini". I just love the heart shaped strawberry... And if we decide not to go with alcohol... We always can turn to "Chocolate Milkshakes" with the heart shaped strawberry. Which I thought was cute and I'm so proud of him thinking that one up... He'll get involved if I'm stuck on ideas lol... And of course we'll have soda's, rootbeer floats, virgin strawberry daiquiris, vigin margaritas and whatever else you can think of...

I don't want to look like one of the tables lol...
I've been searching for the right colors of linen for our chairs and tables. Not sure which color to choose for this day... =( My dress is champange, Grooms, Groomsmen and Bridesmaids are going to be brown... I was thinking about using the champange and topped with chocolate brown for the table. And chocolate brown with the champange sash for the chairs... But I think that will be too much of the champange and browns lol... Since we're going to be wearing them lol... Then I was thinking of using white topped with brown for the tables and white covers and brown sash for the chairs. But I don't want it to be too much for the bridal party. Ah I'm so confused! lol

Yay, I'm engaged!

The Proposal
So In Love... 1-5-08
The girls and I was visiting my parents in Colorado for Christmas break 2007. We met them half way, so I didn't have to drive in the bad weather with the kids. And it helped out alot since Audrey was 11 months... On our return we was suppose to meet half way. But my dad offered to drive us all the way. He's a private investigator for the government and I knew he had some jobs to take care of out of state. So it was weird that he offered to drive all the way. I did have a feeling. I even talked to my cousin Heather about it. She said don't think about it too much. It might turn out like the movie "Bruce Almighty" lol... Since my parents was coming to our home. Brandons parents wanted to take them out to eat the next evening. I wasn't the best girl friend the next day. For some reason I was really annoyed and I was taking it out on Brandon. I was so bad my own dad had to pull him to the side before we left and told him to wait on it... Thanks dad! lol We went to two restaurants. but they was both packed... 2 hour wait... So we decided to head to another, just not as popular... My parents, our kiddos, his parents, his grandmother was there and all in on it... After we was done eating and after I came back from the ladies room... He pulled my chair out and told me to sit lol... I love it when he gets manly with me haha jk... He got down on one knee and asked... Ms June, Will you marry me?... My eyes filled quickly with tears of joy... I said "yes"! Everyone in the restaurant aaww'd and applaud for us...I was so excited! I was thrilled my parents was there to enjoy that special day! It was a beautiful evening... Everything was perfect...

This will be my 2nd marriage, but my first wedding. I am so excited for this day to come. I never knew how much fun this would be to plan this special day. I asked Brandon if its weird for me to have a wedding. He assured me its not. And thats its my first. When I saw my Uncle Tim walk down the aisle with his daughter (Heather)... I just knew I wanted my dad to do that with me... And when they danced to their father & daughter song. It was just beautiful... I was really excited when Brandon told my dad about the proposal. It was great to have him include my family, which with my first that didn't happen... So I'm really excited by all this. I'm glad I have my family beside me for our present and our future... I'm also proud of Brandon for picking out our rings. I always wanted to pick mine out. But I now realized with him picking it out truely came from the heart. And this is something he wants to do. I love my ring, it's perfect!.

I've been going nuts looking for the perfect toasting flutes. And I finally found what I've been looking for. The Men's glasses feature a bow tie design and titles in black. The women's glasses have a heart design and titles in white. Each will have our names, the date and their names...I thought this would be a great additional gift to the bridesmaids and groomsmen.

I'll pick something out later for the guests...

I'm so loving the Stargazer lilies....
Well I decided NOT to go through a professional florist for my bouquets. lol Since she's not able to get the flowers I want. Brandon thinks its best if I went through his grandmother. I'm okay with it. At least we'll be able to find the flowers I want. And it won't be her first time. She had done many arrangements for the family. So I'm ain't skeered, lol... One problem "what do I want"?!? I was so going for the Stargazer Lilies but now I'm looking at the Gerbera Daisies. At least I can't go wrong there with it being fuchsia, right? But if I do go with Gerbera Daisies, which colors should I use to go with Fuchsia? Or should I go with my main flower being a "somewhat near Fuchsia" Rose. And putting here and there Gerbera Daisies... There's just so many choices...

I chosed my cousin and best friend Heather to be my Matron of Honor. My cousin Kimberly, my friends Jennifer R and Su K. to be my bridesmaids... I love these girls... I am so happy for them to be apart of my special day... Their dresses are going to be the color brown with a fuchsia sash. Not bad for $78.00... Heather will be wearing the same colors but different style since she's the MoH...

I So Can't Wait!
I had my heart set on a dress from Davids Bridal. But It's well over $1200.00 A month ago Brandon and I stopped at a boutique. I was there for an hour looking at dresses from a magazine. Finally, I found the dress of my dreams. I so can't wait. Brandon loves it. It's only $690 but its beautiful... The color is Champange. It's a strapless taffeta gown with sweetheart neckline.
