My florist says this is a good idea since the brides bouquet is normally too heavy. Is anyone getting a separate one just got the toss? If so, is it made of real flowers or fake?
yes (I don't know if I would actually KEEP my bouquet though,,,,but still yes) I'm using the throw away one in a vase on the guestbook table until it's 'toss time' ...figure I might as well get some good use out of it!
its usually a smaller and much less expensive boquet. usually fake flowers but doesn't have to be.
The main reason is not only because the actual brides boquet is too big, but also say there is someone there who catches it that you dont really know or you dont even think was invited.... someones date... etc. If you tossed your actual bouquet you would want a friend or relative to catch it, but if its a stranger it kind of is like... 'oh' . If you really dont care who catches your real boquet then you dont necessarily need a 'tosser' unless your bouquet is really huge/heavy
I am going to have a toss bouquet made. I am going with fake flowers so I want to keep my bouquet.. For the toss bouquet I am having a smaller bouquet made.. but that looks like mine.
I am having a toss bouquet too, it made out of fresh flowers and it was included in the package price. I really want to keep my bouquet because the way the florist explained to me it was going to look like sounds like a piece of art.
NOTE: My florist has also recommended for those picking their flowers the day before not to put their flowers in the fridge, he says they should be put in water so they are in full bloom by the next day, I thought that makes sense but aparently a lot florist will recommed to put them in the fridge until show time.
Oh yes definitely. My bouquet is crystals...I don't want to knock someone out! I do have a throw bouquet of silk flowers. The crystal bouquet is going/handing over to the oldest woman there and she's our GOH~Guest Of Honor.
I am having a tossing bouquet as well. I wanted to do this because I was thinking of having my bouquet freeze dried to have as a keepsake. Mine is fresh and its identical to my bridal one but smaller. They can be made with both. The florist I have though is a family friend and it's not that much to have done. If it was going to cost a lot I would have done a DIY one.

Hiya, I like the comment about having flowers frozen to have as a keep sake, thats real nice. My best friend is getting married soon, and we are planning a great hen weekend to boot! The weekend is starting to become quite pricey, so the bride to be has come up with a great idea to help reduce the costs. Instead of sending all her hens paper invites (which would have cost a fortune) she is opting for e-Card invites. I was a bit baffled by her idea, but then she explained to me that they are better for the environment as no paper is required, and as long as you choose a free site, then the service wont cost a penny! She told me that she had found a Free Invitation e-Card site. I checked it out and it looks really cool, lots of funny cards. There are loads of e-Card sites out there, so it may be worth doing your own research and finding one that suites you best. Hope this helps, and good luck everyone on your forthcoming weddings. Love and Hugs.
