Honeymoon
A perfect way to start a new life!
Here are some pictures from our honeymoon! We had SO much fun and I totally recommend Sunset at the Palms in Negril Jamaica for a honeymoon. Very romantic!! We stayed in "tree house bungalows" set in a jamaican garden. It was different than your typical hotel feel! We made ourselves quite busy too with 7 excursions (Ziplining, jeep safari, ys falls/black river safari, ricks cafe, river tubing, parasailing, jet skiing...)... but of course, some beach time too!
The only problem with the trip was that we had to come home... sigh.... We certainly hope to return soon!! |

A Taste of My Wedding Day!!
I'm only 3 months late adding this... ha ha
Hey Everyone!! I'm so so so sorry that I didn't add these pictures sooner! I had every intention but life got SOO busy before and after the wedding that I just never got around to it!! I don't have time to put a lot of the photos up and we're still choosing our professional photos so we don't even have those back yet! Ha ha!
Anyways, the day was absolutely amazing and it's a TOTAL blur now! I watch our wedding video or look at the pictures and it still doesn't sink in that I'm a married woman! The strap on my wedding dress snapped as I was giving my mom a hug at the end of the aisle! LOL! But fortunately it was just a snap so I put it back together after the ceremony and all the professional pictures looked fine! To be honest with you, I couldn't care less that it had snapped! I was just so excited to finally be married to my best friend! Everything else went without a hitch! Well, aside from the best man nearly passing out!! It was his very first wedding (like, ever!!) and so he was just a little nervous...Ha ha ha! But it's those little quirks throughout the day that make your wedding so memorable! It was one of the hottest days this year (+30 C). It's funny because the weekend after our wedding, it snowed!!!!! Crazy eh? I wish all of you the best in your wedding day! And here's just a little advice from a young bride.... Try to take a deep breath, try to soak it all in, and HAVE FUN!! Derek and I decided last minute that we'd sing at our reception. Derek had NEVER sang in front of anyone before, and his mom had always wanted to hear him. Did we sound good?? Probably not! Ha ha! But had so much fun and we would have regretted not doing it! Sad to say, but all those little details we worked so hard on on the way to the big day really didn't really matter in the end! My eyes were so focussed on the one I love, it was the best day! Pashmina vs. Chiffon wrap
So, I'm not sure how the weather will be on the big day, but I'm thinking I may be cool during some parts of it. I was looking for some sort of scarf/wrap but in my little town, they don't have much to offer except for pashminas (aka: scarves).
I'm nearly certain that I will only wear the scarf for parts of the day. Do you think it would be alright to just buy a cheap, white pashmina or should a splurge on a chiffon wrap? What are you ladies wearing to "warm up"? |

Rebellion!!!
Our last weekend together as "single"...
Hey Everyone! It's been way too long since I last updated!! I cannot believe I'm only 18 days away from being a married woman! I'm sooo excited!!
This past weekend was the last weekend my fiance and I will be together as "single" individuals. So... we decided to do a "rebellious" date to celebrate! Ha ha ha In all honesty, it wasn't anything really out there. We just decided to light a bunch of firework. It was a bit of chillier evening but we had so much fun! We took our video camera and recorded the whole ordeal (we're hoping to put that scene into our "reception movie"). The evening ended with us lighting a "unity cherrybomb" (a type of firework). Afterwards, Derek pulled out his guitar and we had a great time enjoying a full moon! I'm so excited for the adventures that will come after marriage. Derek is such a great guy with a big heart, I feel so lucky to be his future wife! There's only 2 weekends remaining until my wedding. The upcoming weekend is my stagette and the weekend after that is Derek's. After that, we're off to Jamaica! Life is good! |

Church/Community Shower!!
Ok, so I realized I added these pictures but I totally didn't save my text to go along with them!! So sorry!
Anyways, my church threw me my first wedding shower out of 3. It was such a fun night!! The theme was camping because Derek and I LOVE camping/the outdoors! I got so many nice gifts and it was great turnout (despite it raining and snowing at the same time... yuck!) 2 of my bridesmaids were able to come for "moral support". The one with the long brown hair is my MOH- Ashley, and the blond is my friend/last year's roomate Donica. We had healthier-ish food, played some games (including a quiz about Derek and I) and 2 of my friends did a sort of skit which ended up giving me a bunch of cleaning supplies. It was a lot of fun!!! |

ONE MONTH REMAINING
So Exciting!!!!
If you couldn't already tell from the title, I'm one month away from our wedding!!! It actually doesn't even feel real. The really bizarre part is that I'm not even stressed... I feel like everything is somewhat undercontrol.... well, for the most part! Perhaps it's the calm before the storm!
This week we had snow.... SNOW!! Yuck! But like my mother keeps telling me, rather now than later!! Anywho, here is a few updates! I'm sorry it's been a while! Have a great day!! |

Guestbook
This is the photo album/guestbook we're using for our wedding. The guests will sign the label along the side and we'll put their goofy picture in there after the wedding. I'm really excited for this aspect of the wedding.
