Makeup and Extensions
I cannot believe there is only 7 days left before the wedding! I am so excited I cannot even explain how much. But I am sure every one of you brides know what I mean!
Everything has gone by SO fast! Anyway..since I havent been on in a while I thought I would stop in to share in my excitement! Since we are having a beach wedding I wanted to go with a natural look. I am not really a makeup girl anyway.. just a little bit of foundation is all that I use normally. But since we are getting pictures I thought I should have some makeup on..so I am going to use a little bit of eyeliner and I want my cheeks to have a "sun kissed" look..so I am using a little bit of pink blush as well. Other than that.. that is it I guess. I am using real hair extensions as well. I am just waiting on one more piece that I ordered to make my ends look a little fuller and more natural. I took a picture to show you what it will kind of look like. I will be putting some wave to it so it isn't just straight though. So I want your thoughts girls..do you think I will look too plain? |

Sky Lanterns
Yay!
So we checked on having the sky lanterns at our wedding and I guess we are all set :) The township said that it is okay and that they have had them before at the harbor and that they were beautiful! I am so excited :)
We will setting these off on the beach after the reception before everyone leaves. I cannot wait! The meaning of releasing these into the sky is said to send your prayers and wishes to heaven :) |

Sky Lanterns!!!
Okay.. So since we are having a beach wedding.. I originally thought it would be beautiful to have a small fireworks display on the beach after the reception for sort of a farewell thing. But when talking to our friends that do this says even a small show would be about $300-400..ouch! So it is kind of out of the question.
However!, I found these sky lanterns online and thought..oh my goodness.. that would be so perfect and so beautiful!! But I do not know anything about codes and that.. or if you have to get a permit to do them. We are in Michigan. I wondered if anyone else has done these or known anyone that has. They are 100% biodegradable and are safer than fireworks. You light the cardboard square that is covered in wax and it will airlift like a hot air balloon. It supposedly will burn for 5-10 minutes and then fall to the ground. And they travel very high. They just say not to do them if it is windier than 5 mph as it can carry them off into trees and that. But PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me anything you know about having them at your wedding or someone you knew and how you go about getting them okayed !!!! We are getting married in 25 days YAY!! OH!! And we went for our marriage license today... I just had to add that ;) Here is a little video of the sky lanterns...they are just gorgeous!! I HAVE to have them! ( it takes a second to play) |

Program for DIY monograms
As I posted previously.. I made my own Monograms for my favor boxes. I wanted to let you know the name of the program and I also wanted to post a few other monograms to show you some of the things that are possible... ( these are ones I just threw together a little bit ago so I could show you)... the possibilities are endless with this program!
The program is called "My label designer Deluxe" and I had gotten mine at Staples.. but I see you can download it also for the same price of 29.99 online. It is so worth it to do all of your projects for the wedding. I use it for holidays and birthdays as well. Like I had said before, I did our Save the Date magnets on this program and also our invitations. You are able to do any size you need and pretty much anything you need it for ! I download all of my pictures online ( the starfish, palm tree, seahorse, the damask, etc.) You are able to change the colors of them within the program itself. ( The pictures were all black when I downloaded them.. I was able to change them to whatever color I wanted.) If you get the program and would like me to assist you in something and tell you how to do it...just let me know and I would love to help. I can also assist you in downloading fonts online and how to save them to your computer, etc. Let me know if I can help! |

I have seen so many people have these monograms made and I thought.. maybe I could do this?! So I tried and finally after a few hours.. I figured it out! Yay! I made these for the tops of our favor boxes to personalize them a little.. I love how they turned out! Just had to share :) |

With 32 days left... we are down to getting all of the food bought and organized....we will be doing that here and there in the following weeks. All of our decorations are finished and/or bought Our time line is finished from Thursday through Sunday (the weekend of our wedding) ..it is going to get SO busy!! We chose our vows this past weekend..they are as follows: I (Name), take you (Name) to be my (husband/wife), to share both good times and bad times, side by side. I give you my hand and my heart and hope that my love will always be a safe haven for you. Just as this circle is without end, my love for you is eternal. Just as it is made of a permanent metal, my commitment to you is forever. We also need to get our marriage license in 1 week! This has all gone by so fast..it is so hard to believe that we will be married in just under 5 weeks! YAY!!! |
