Vow renewal ceremony
A small simple todo
Our vow renewal ceremony is going to be held in a surprise location, on a beach near our hometown that is only accessible by boat. So we are going to have our few (15 max.) guests meet at the marina where they will be taken by boat to a small secluded island where we will already be waiting for the ceremony. We will do our vow renewal as the sun is setting and then walk up the beach to take some photos with our photographer. We will also be taking a few photos before our guests arrive. Our vow renewal will be performed by a friend of ours. Our theme for the ceremony will be different than our reception. Our theme for our ceremony will be peacock. We want to make a huge heart on the beach and stand inside it to recite our vows. We will have nice white beach chairs for our few guests and a tiny white wedding tent for drinks and snacks. My husband will have beige beach shorts and a white button up shirt. I will wear an ivory chiffon or organza fitted a-line or mermaid dress with ruching and maybe a slit with barefoot sandals.

Wedding Reception
Vow renewal reception
Were sort of going for an old school hollywood glam look. We want to do a nice sit down dinner with full service because when we got married we did a buffet style meal. Were also doing our champagne toast with edible hibiscus flowers. Were thinking of a banquet hall inside a hotel so that our guests dont have to go anywhere afterwards. Our theme is black , deep red, ivory and diamonds. We want tall , skinny on bottom, full on top centerpieces so it is still dramatic but people can still interact. We are doing a seating plan, but by table, not by person. So we will have escort cards with a name and table number on it and all tables will be numbered. Also we want to do rhinestone sash buckles on the chair cover sashes. We are not having attendants but we are having our closest family sit at our table with matching attire. I will be doing an ivory mermaid gown with ruching and embellishments for the first part of the evening and then I will do a shorter ivory party dress for the last part of the evening. My husband will be in a tux with tails and a top hat.Oh and my ideal guestcount would be 40 but i know its going to be about 60. Check out my pics to get an idea of what im going for : )

Wedding Reception
Getting what you really want
OK so when we got married we didnt have that much money, therefore we sacrificed on alot of the things we wanted. So pretty much the day after we got married i wanted to do a vow renewal and do it the way we wanted. One thing we wouldve changed was there were alot of people at our reception that we harldy knew...this time its going to be very private.Another thing was the buffet style meal...it was delicious but this time everybody is going to sit down, relax and enjoy. And mostly we did everything so traditional because our families are very traditional and we wanted everybody to be happy and feel like they were part of our big day.So our huge guestlist was to blame i guess...couldnt afford the suuper nice decor because there were so many seats to fill and couldnt afford a fancy meal because there were so many mouths to feed. So this time around, it sounds bad but...its all about us baby! :D So i say do what you want because in the end its your day and your the one who is going to remember it for the rest of your life...probably not your 4th cousin jimbob.
