....I get to wear my wedding dress again!!!! An up and coming photog contacted us to do a session to build a portfolio!!

The good...I get to do all the things I cut out when getting dolled up for my actual wedding day. Poses that were missed too! I still think my dress is sooo me and felt uber sexxxxxy in it. Very exciting!

The bad...I have already done the Post wedding Chop. Lol. Deciding if I should rock the short 'do or do extensions for the classic look.

The UGLY...the Bridal Bootcamp went out the window on our all inclusive honeymoon that accomodated 24 hour dining and included fruity tropical (empty calorie) drinks!!! The shoot is NEXT WEEKEND. Hope I still can get in the dress.

It will be interesting to do a photo shoot with Hubs. We didnt do an engagement session and I didnt do a bridal shoot. Should be pretty cool...

Again, I know you looked at the pictures first, but if you'd like the read about it, here we go!!! LOL.

So....we got a house!!!!!! If you followed me at all you know every other word out of my mouth was BUDGET or DIY or Glam for less or something to that affect. That's bc I wanted an awesome honeymoon and I wanted a house right away!! Again, Hubs paid for everything himself so the wedding was done beautifully but on a DIME. LOL.

We got an amazing deal on our house bc it does need a little TLC. But nothing major....the carpet has HAD IT and the yard is DEAD from the dry Texas heat. But I am slowly working on it and am very excited.

I nevvvver would have thought I would love working in the yard like I do!!! A prissy girl like me!! But I love it!!! And I'm slowly nursing the grass back to health. I want to plant a small garden in one of the corners of our HUGE backyard. It was important to me to have a large yard bc I want to create outdoor sitting/living spaces back there. Hubs listened to me and kept that in mind when house hunting.

It's 4 bedrooms, 2 and 1/2 baths, a study/home office, a media room, downstairs living area, dining area and kitchen. 2 car garage with front and back yard. So now you see where I've been and why I've been away from the board?? LOL.

Any other married ladies that are working on their home? They call it Nesting. Who else is Nesting??

I **know** you looked at the pics first! LOL. But now that you are reading my post, I'll tell you that we took almost 500 pics, this is just a mere few. And I didn't want to post too many, so I made a few collages out of some of the pics so you can see 4 or 5 at a time. This post is gonna be loooonggg, so read at your leisure. Haha.

Well, I know you've heard it before, but Hubs paid for the entire wedding, on his own, no help, in cash, no DEBT. He also took care of our honeymoon!! My HERO!!! I am OVER the MOON appreciative for all of it and I mention it every chance I get. (((Swoon)).

As if that were not enough though, he also had several SURPRISES in store for me that he had planned remotely with the resort by email and by phone without me knowing!!! I tell you more about that in a few...

Where we stayed: Sandals Grande Riviera in Ocho Rios, Jamaica for 7 days and 6 nights. I kept the wedding budget to a "T" because I wanted an amazing honeymoon and a house (which I'll post about later) and Terrance NAILED the amazing honeymoon part!!! He booked VIP concierge level service and I felt like a celebrity. Although sometimes it was a bit embarrassing to get such preferenical treatment and be singled out in front of all the other guests. LOL. But everytime I felt like that, Hubs would say "Only the best for my babygirl". So I had to do nothing but appreciate it...and HIM!!

***TIP***If you are traveling in a region that needs a passport, DO NOT book your ticket with your married name unless you will already have a passport in your married name. Sounds cute to do that, but when I thought about it, my driver's license and passport would not have my new last name on them at the time of travel so I booked with my maiden name and BOY am I glad I did. I saw ppl really having an ordeal with that both going there and coming home.
***TIP***If you are thinking of going to Ocho Rios in Jamaica, know that it is about 1 and 1/2 to 2 hours away from the airport, which is in Montego Bay. You'll have to take a 2 hour ride after the plane ride. Sandals provides the shuttle included in the package. Believe it or not, it wasn't a bad ride. Hubs and I had loaded our Xoom tablets with music and movies anticipating this long ride but the driver pointed out historic landmarks and talked about the island of Jamaica and culture, etc. He piped reggae music thru the radio and all of us sang along. Yeah, we really all did. WE WERE ON VACATION!!! LOL.

What we did: We didn't want to plan a full itinerary. After all, it IS our honeymoon and there needed to be LOTS of what we refer to as "newlywed time". And there was PLENTY of that. Tee hee. We almost missed our luggage bc when the bell man came knocking we tried to completely ignore him!! After a few tries, Hubs finally said "could you come back later??". ((I'm Blushing)). And the bell man said, "but I have your bags, sir!!". LOL. That's 1 of my fondest memories. Hahaha.
We did the zip line canopy tour which was AWESOME. Something he had scheduled and I was NOT a fan of it at first. It was alot of walking to the top of the mountains and I nagged alot!! Ha!! I was scared SHITLESS to do the first zipline, but after that, I was PUMPED!! If you get enough BALLS to do it, you will absolutely LOVE it.

We also climbed Dunns River Falls!!! Instead of a shuttle or a taxi, we went by PARTY BOAT!!! It was sooo much fun just commuting to the falls!!! LOL. There was a DJ and awesome music on the boat. On the way back, the water was verrry choppy. So it was like a water roller coaster on the boat!!! They serve drinks and a light lunch and there was soooo much singing and dancing. it was a BLAST!!!

On Wednesday night at this resort, there was a WHITE LINEN BEACH PARTY. When we booked, months in advance, and were assigned our concierge, she told us about the white party. So we had brought appropriate outfits. There was live music and entertainment. Of course great food. BUT...GET...THIS; the AFTERPARTY was called CHOCOLATE DECADENCE in which they served nothing but chocolate and champagne. 1 of the most amazing things EVER. Very romantic and very posh. I loved it.

Every time I travel, I try to go outside of the resort and shop in the marketplace. The souveniers in the gift shop were surprisingly reasonable and very nice. But the real deal Jamaica, I had to see. Our concierge scheduled a taxi/van to come pick us up, just Hubs and I. It was cool. They are a very poor country but they have an AMAZING attitude about things. They don't need much. EVERYTHING IS IRIE!! NO WORRIES, MON!!!

Thursday night, my Hubs surprised me with a beautiful gown he bought, packed, and brought on the trip for me to wear without me even knowing!!! It was a gorgeous gown and everyone complimented me on it. I felt like a Princess. It was a

I have so much more to say but I know this is long enough. Basically, in short, my honey gave me the most romantic and ENCHANTING honeymoon a girl could ever want. And I thank him for it from the bottom of my heart!!!

Well, she is the newest addition to our family and has been such a **JOY**. She's almost 3 months old now and is getting soooo big!! I couldn't wait for you guys to meet her.

Not to offend anyone who doesn't believe, but we have a strong belief in GOD and He has opened so many doors for Hubs and I and I can't help but to think it was bc we offered this little 1 a place to stay when she didn't have 1. She didn't stand a chance without us. Now that we have her, I can't help but shed a tear just thinking about what could have happened to her had we not stepped in.

First of all, I miss you ladies like CRAAAAAAZY!!!! But life as a newlywed has been BUSY. It's not like that for everyone, but FI, scratch that, HUBS and I wanted to waste no time getting things DONE!!

Since our wedding, we've taken custody of a newborn, gotten a house, put my bio-child in HIGH SCHOOL, Hubs got a promotion and I started work in a new department, and...WHEW!!!

But...I will be making a couple posts to TRY to update you. Although there is much more to it than I can post right now.

Good morning and Tgif!

I don't have alot of words, I know, hard to believe Miss Katieebee doesn't have any words. Lol.

I feel great. I'm having a breakfast of crossaint rolls, fruit, and bacon. Mmmm, bacon.

My wedding isn't until this evening, and there isn't much left to do. So I'm really here just checking and double checking all the checklists. No stress, no pressure.

I got a feeling....that tonight's gonna be a good night!

According to my countdown widget, I have ****9***** days to go before my wedding day. And that, ladies, would mean I have 10 days before my TROPICAL PARADISE HONEYMOON ((canons, streamers, confetti, fireworks, champagne corks))!!! Can you tell what I'm looking forward to the most??! LOL.

FI and I are getting married on Friday, July 22, 2011!!!! We were originally planning a destination wedding for just the 2 of us and were going to have it on Thursday July 21,2011. We gave some thought to having it on a Sunday but since the VAST majority of our guests are from out of town, we decided to have it on a Friday instead. But we are saving sooo much money for having it on a Friday and not the traditional Saturday. Friday has also helped to keep our guest list small.
