How the heck are ya?!! I'm Katiee and I'm a damask bride!! Please chime in on this post with any damask wonderfulness you'd like to share. 2010 brides, you are welcome as well. We'd love your advice and pics as inspiration! We can all fave each other and hopefully make this wedding planning as eassssy as possible!!!!

Well let me be the first!!!!! My accent color is FUSCHIA. I love anything and everything damask. In fact my house is decorated in damask... from my curtains to my bedding to my salt and pepper shakers.... I think I may have a problem HAHAHAHA My wedding is going to have Damask tablecloths black chair covers and fuschia chair sashes!!! I got some really pretty chandeliers and crystal trees from shopwildthing.com to spruce up our hall. its going to be so beautuful. OH and also I got some wicked damask table runners from efavormart.

My accent colour is blue - but more of a pool or tiffany blue colour and very little of it. I want to stick with the damask or black and white as much as possible!
So far the most amazing find was my invitations which got me started in the damask from the very beginning. I got them at Michaels (typical ones i know, but we are making them our own) I went once a week with the 40% off coupons and scored them for 22 bucks each box!
my next great find was my fabric, 20$ for almost 7 meters! WOWZA! Check out my section of WBC :)

I LOVE Damask and I just got married on 1-1-11. My accent color was lime green and I loved the way everything turned out. I also had the Micheal's invites that I personalized a little, a damask card box I made, a damask H I made for my head table that I got a lot of compliments on, the damask runners with a lime green edge worked really well and kept the damask from being too much, the girls bouquets were wrapped in damask ribbon from Micheal's super cute! I will be posting pics as soon as I have my disk, but there are some pics of damask stuff I found on my page. Suggestions: Make sure you are consistent with your damask (same black on white and size, etc.) Don't use it super close together...if you have runners I don't suggest using it on your table numbers...that kind of thing. Sorry that was kind of long winded. I will be writing up advice soon for all this stuff on my page.

Oh wow!!! Thanks for the comments ladies!!! I'm going to add you as my fave brides so I can see ideas from you and vice versa! Damask is so cool bc you can accent it with just about any color. I guess if you think about it it's black and white and they are both universal/neutral colors.

I"m a damask bride too, and my accent color is cobalt blue. Right now we have damask runners and a damask card box. We will have damask on our cake table and also around our photobooth area. Love this print!

Wow!! Looks like Damask can be complimented by just about any color. I almost changed my color to red after an open house that my venue had where they set everything up in damask and red. But purple is my fave color, and I think it will pop against the damask also. How exciting!!

Hi! My accent color is purple, its my favorite. I purchased both my save the dates and invitations from Magnetstreet Weddings. I willbe receiving my invitations in the mail soon. I can't wait! They did a great job on the save the dates and are ver affordable!

Oh and ladies for those who like and want the damask but like me not a black lover..theyhave themin all color damask..lime damask print,pink,bkack and red ( my fave) etc the site called CVLINENS.COM they have tablecloths,runners,sashes in the color damask really well priced too for my wedding of 100 I got 125 and he paid 800 for all. with chocolate napkins..

I didn't realize damask was so huge right now lol!! Nice to see all the variations and colour combos. I just love anything damask. I am sticking to black and white. No colour. Even my guests are wearing black and white. I found eBay and Etsy to be a huge help so far. Will post any great finds in the future :)

pemelia...looks like it really is quite popular in the wedding world. but i don't think i've ever been to a damask wedding and i don't think my guests have either, so it should be a pleasant surprise to them!
