Busy as ever!
While cleaning out one of my several email accounts, I saw a message I had forwarded to several people (including myself) about a blog I was "constantly" updating with wedding info. I couldn't even remember my password to log back in, so I had to have it emailed to me. Why in the world did I pick such an obscure password?
Anyway, I've been busy with life and can't believe the time is just ticking away to October 10! I managed to find a full-time job in this economy and, even more, I love it! On the weekends I try to do the final touches for the Big Day, but I usually go spelunking around with Matt. We are in a gold prospectors' club and that is just much more exciting most of the time. We need apparel for everyone, the officiant, and the license; but other than that we have all of the big stuff out of the way. Yay! This year started off with a hard hit- my mom passed away. It was very unexpected. Her worst nightmare was that she would not be able to be at my wedding because her mom died right before her wedding. Damn. My emotions have been on a roller coaster since and there was a two-month hiatus to the wedding planning. Good thing she was so on top of things right after we got engaged, or we would be spinning in circles right now! An exciting thing Matt and I are talking about is what we want to do for the Honeymoon. We wanted to go on a cruise, but they usually leave on a Sunday around the time our ceremony will be starting. We would either have to wait a week; and I would go back to work that week (not my top choice) or choose from some other options. We are thinking we might take up an offer by our wedding planner to rent a timeshare. For the rest of the day, I will edit some of the wedding details on here; and look around the house to see what else I can do while I'm feeling so productive. |

Wedding Reception
We have the reception site but are still deciding on the wedding site lol. There are a couple possibilities.. the first being Sundial Bridge. It would be my DREAM wedding, but it is sooo pricey!! I'm not sure if we can fit it into our budget. It's semi-famous, at least in NorCal :P Another option is behind a dentist's office, right on the Sacramento River shore. It is all set up with a PA system, spacious deck, and a shade tree; it too would be gorgeous but not sure on the cost of that yet. There is a possibility of a horse and carriage, as well.. I'm getting sooo excited!! :)

The Proposal
The exciting day was April 25, 2009. I graduated from Simpson University with my Bachelor's Degree at noon and got engaged at 2 p.m. during my graduation celebration lunch at Logan's Roadhouse. I had butterflies in my stomach the whole day because I suspected he might pop the question soon. While my twin brother, Tim, and I were cutting our graduation cake, Matt got down on one knee in front of everyone! I said "Yes!", of course, and got the most beautiful engagement ring :) I was so glad my friends and family were there to help me celebrate my graduation AND engagement on the same day! We have planned an October wedding, 10-10-10, and have an amazing wedding planner. I am so excited to see how all the little details are going to work out to make our big day memorable for years to come!
