Wedding Flowers
& Wedding Cake
Wow it feels so good to finally be crossing the big things off my to-do list. After what felt like such a long time, things are being accomplished and I it all feels so real!
I went to a Timpano Bridal Show a few weekends ago and was handed a coupon for $50 off my flowers if I order with this florist. Since it was right down the street from my house and the lady seemed nice enough, I decided to check into it further. They fit us in without an appointment and worked around my small budget. Not only was she amazing, but she gave us an amazing deal! With everything including free delivery and a free toss bouquet, the total was under $250! And I am getting peonies, sweetheart roses and orchids! I feel so relieved to have flowers booked as the date keeps creeping up. Also at the bridal show I found out that Cakes by Design had a coupon on wagjag for a 2-tier cake for $99. So obviously the price was too good to pass up so instead of making my own I will hand it off to someone else. I will however be making coordinating cupcakes for the sweets table. Heres to checking some tasks off the infamous list! |

Inspiration Board
& DIY Wedding buys
Happy Wednesday morning! I have been looking at my new colours and trying to get inspiration. {I added teal to my pink and navy combo because I felt like they were really popular fall colours and it needed to be a bit brighter for my summer wedding} So I went through my whole collection of wedding pictures that I have saved online and came up with this first picture. Its so much brighter and I absolutely LOVE it!
So I went shopping last night {shocked really} and bought some supplies to knock a few DIYs off my list. See my second picture. SHARE A DEAL: Michaels has all of their Christmas stuff at 60% off including all their Christmas ribbon {which doesn't all look Christmasy} I got some paint and this great pink and white peacock ribbon at 60% off then I also got some birds for our cake and some other things. |

Ask a Question
WHERE do I find a crinoline?
So I was browsing around for lovely wedding things the other day and I came across the picture of my dress on a model. I bought mine off the rack so I never saw a picture of it. I noticed that it is much fuller in the picture and looks amazing! So now I am wondering where do I find a crinoline?
Help me out WBC ladies! |

Bridesmaids
Oh the choices
I have come across this great dress on etsy.com by coraliebeatrix and love it! After much debate over colours we (or rather I) have decided on navy dresses. They will all have pink and white bouquets and a white flower broach. It has changable straps and can be worn so many different ways. I might even order a white one for me.
The men will have grey suits with pink ties and navy vests and the groom will have an aqua tie with a navy vest. |

Wedding Decoration
Missing my WBC life
Well here I am back again. I cannot believe I have lost touch for soo long. To be honest I had completely exhausted myslef of everything wedding and had no interest in doing anything wedding related. After a not so subtle kick in the pants from my future MIL (god love her) I am back and more enthused then ever.
My updates: Since we are a little ways past the 200 day mark (oops) there have been a few things accomplished but not nearly enough! We had our engagement party in the beginning of November at his parents' place. The place was packed with gasp, 70 people! We had great attendance for what I was told would be a little light on the brides side and our two familys really had a wonderful time getting to know each other. I have just about decided on bridesmaid dresses with yet another kick in the pants from the FMIL. (See coming post) I have also begun my search for flowers which for me has been hard for two reasons. 1. I have very limited flower knowledge and 2. They are probably more important to my FMIL then me. Don't get me wrong I think we need them but on the list of my priorities they fall pretty low. Anyway I think I have found a place I like but I just have to decide what I want them to look like and also for Christmas to be over because they cannot offer me anything other than reds, whites and greens. Photos: 1.My newest inspiration, I love the touches of the teal/aqua (What would you call this colour?) 2. Possible bouquet 3. Really liking the look of this bouquet |

Engagement Session
Ideas and plan
We are having our engagement photos done on Thursday evening. We are going to have them done at my FH parent's place because they have a huge property with a barn and lots of nature. My sister is an aspiring photographer/ film director so she has offered to do them for us. And if they don't happen to be the greatest we can always get them done again.
I bought the purple dress in the last picture since all the ones I own have bold patterns and that is not recommended for photos because it will take away focus from you. I will also have a skirt/cardigan outfit as well as jeans/tee outfit. I will switch my shoes around from closed-toe leather wedges, cowboy boots, and bare feet. My FH will have a button down shirt/jeans and jeans/tee because I know he will not be willing to change that often. For props I am planning on having the barn, an old bike, red paper hearts, and a white blanket. Will will do photos with the barn, on the train tracks, sitting/standing/kissing in the long grass, down by the creek, with the old truck in the field, and the paddock gates. Here are a few pics of my inspirations. Can't wait! |

Made My Own :)
This incorporates my new ideas and colours. Vintage meets Alice in Wonderland meets the Secret Garden. My old colours added to my new colours.
I am now a Pink, Navy, Green, Brown, and Ivory Bride. It sounds like alot but I think they blend together very well and it makes it more whimsical and vintage. |

DIY Wedding
I made-out like a bandit!
So yesterday on my lunch hour I headed over to Value Village and the dollar store near my work {it was pay day and I had no other plans}. I only had an hour so I had to do some serious power shopping which is not a problem for me, because I wanted to get some of the things I needed to start some DIYs.
I got so much stuff! Value Village haul: -2 flower girl baskets, 1 smaller 1 larger -mis-matching frames for table numbers {4 frames for $2.99!} -2 large jars for candy table {$3.99 each compared to the one I almost bought for $14.99} -mason jars for candles {3 for $0.99} -old lace curtains {will cut up and tie around top of mason jars, great vintage look!} Total spent: $42.00!!! Dollar store stuff: -2 foam balls to try out my pomadors -navy and pink tissue paper also for pomadors -clear gift bags for caramel apples -pink and white ribbon -wooden initials to paint and put... somewhere :) -white paint to finish cardbox Total spent: $16.00! Totally unrelated to yesterdays shopping trip, I got these lanterns at walmart in the Martha Stewart wedding section {oh Martha} for $15 each to go over the dance floor. I am considering going back to get some more. I know this is like my 3rd post today but I just finally took pictures of everything so I had to update :) Sorry for the crappy pictures I took them this morning while it was raining out with my blackberry, and also without the lights on, Duh! |
