We did it!!!
We're Married!!!
Hi Ladies!!!
Well, it's over and done with and it was beautiful!! Of course things went wrong, but I chose not to let it bother me until later. But, the things that went wrong we are getting money back because of it. I can't change anything now, so I am not going to focus on the bad things. It was beautiful!!!! I felt beautiful and my husband was so handsome!!! The day was threatening rain, but I got all of my outside pictures done before the downpour. Here's a funny moment from the day. My husband and I were taking pictures in the park after the ceremony and it started to downpour. My photographer ran for the reception and my husband and I took cover under the bandshell in the park. Some locals were rehearsing for a show at the same place and a local offered us a ride to the reception so we wouldn't get wet. It was hilarious!!! Here's another unscripted moment. Before the ceremony I was feeling kinda dizzy. I made sure to eat something and drink a lot before we started. Once I got up there I started shaking and felt like I was going to faint. I passed off my bouquet to my MOH and held onto my husband for dear life. Our pastor was giving her surmon and I knew that if I didn't get a drink of water I was done for!!! I passed on to my MOH that I needed some water and she passed it down and so on. Finally my mom got the hint and asked my aunt behind her for a water bottle. I stopped the ceremony and got the water. The whole congregation LAUGHED and CLAPPED at my moment. I got so much crap for it, but I knew it was that or fainting!!! It was my day, right?! Yes, things went wrong but it also went so fast!!! People aren't kidding when they say the day will go by quickly, cause it sure does!! I can't believe it's over, but now is the start of our life together!! Table Number Idea
I don't know where I came up with this idea, but I thought I would share it! I decided to have my photographer take pictures of my FH and I holding number signs and putting them in frames on the tables. Not only are they unique, but they are conversation pieces.

1 week to go!!!
Six days and counting!!
I can't believe how time flies!!! A week from right now, I will be getting ready to walk down the aisle to become Mrs. Katie Tharp!! I can't believe it!!
I have TONS to do before this week is over and the family starts arriving. I still haven't done my final fitting which is making me quite nervous, but I am sure she will call soon!! Enjoy it girls, cause it sure does go quickly!!! |

Tables!!
I did a mock up of the tables yesterday at the pavilion where we are having the reception. I am very happy with the result. It is exactly what I wanted, simple, elegant and classy.
I also was very surprised that the inside of the reception hall was painted the green color of our wedding!!! What a great surprise!! |

3 weeks to go!!!
Roadtrip to MN!!
My FH and I are leaving tomorrow afternoon to head to MN for our big day!! I can't believe it is coming so soon!!! I am so excited!!
ITs 30 hours from here in Yuma to MN. We have two 15 hour days planned. It shouldn't be too bad and I have lots of magazines and books to read. Luckily my FH will be doing all of the driving. I can't wait to finally get there and try on my dress again. I haven't tried it on since I was 20 pounds heavier than I am now. I haven't even had my 1st fitting yet!! YIKES!!! I have so muich to do in these next 3 weeks, but luckily I will have my mom and sister to help!!! Anyway, I will blog again once we finally arrive!! |

As the big day approaches I already know I will be a crying mess!! I am wondering what you seasoned brides used on your wedding day or what you future brides will be using?

SPARKLERS!!!!
I am so excited that I found big sparklers for our exit from the reception from the dollar store!!! My mom picked up 45 boxes of 6 20" for $1 each!!! So we got 270 sparklers for $45 +tax instead of 200 sparklers for $175!!! I love a deal!!
I would suggest to all you brides that want to have sparklers with your exit go check out your local dollar stores for deals. Of course, make sure sparklers are legal in your state! :) UNDER 30 DAYS!!!! HOLY COWZA!!!! |
