Wedding Reception
Our Venue for Ceremony and Reception!
Yesterday my Fiance and I drove to the Sunshine Coast to inspect our wedding location (for ceremony and Reception). I have to say that I was blown away by the beauty and simplicity of the gardens and recpetion area that I almost had tears in my eyes. I will post some photos from the website! Let me know what you think!!!

Wedding Dress
Something a little different!
The one thing that I know for sure about the wedding, is that I don't want to walk down the isle in a completely traditional white wedding dress. I thought finding a dress to suit my personality would be a breeze, especially being that the wedding industry turns an enormous profit, but alas... No luck. So I have decided to design my own, gaining inspiration from various gowns, but I am still struggling to find fabrics I want. I really love polka dots and after falling in love with some Italian silk Organza embroided with polka dots in a fabric store in Brisbane about 1 year ago (@$160/m which is perhaps why I didn't buy it at the time) I decided that it's what I want to have. Of course, being such rare and gorgeous material It has sold out and won't be ordered back in due to being a seasonal import (from Italy). I have been looking online for this fabric everywhere for months and can't even find a similarity! I did however find a Maggie Sottero gown which uses a polka dot organza... the only one of it's kind! It's gorgeous, but as I mentioned, I want to design my own so that the style suits my body shape etc. Can anyone help out? I am in Australia so it would have to be an international store...

Money, Money, Money!!!
budget and planning??? HELP
After last week's adrenaline high, this week Daniel and I have sat down, picked a date and discussed budgeting for the wedding. Both of our parents live quite modestly, so we aren't going to ask them to contribute any money and we refuse to get a loan from the bank because we need to buy a house after the wedding. We have picked a date 2 years away because I am still at University and only work part time, therefore we need this time to save the money for the wedding! 2 years before the big day and I have no idea where to start or if I should start planning?? How long does it really take to plan a nice wedding? HELP!!! Will I be able to have the wedding of my dreams for a budget of $15 000?? I would love to hear people's opinions and personal stories about this.

The Proposal
I am finally engaged!
6 months ago, I googled wedding blogs and fell in love with Wedding by Color! I read several Brides blogs and dreamed of the day when I would finally be able to start my own as a Bride to Be! On the 27th of January, 2009 - my hubby to be got down on one knee amongst 100 long stemmed pink and yellow roses and asked me to marry him. I was so shocked that I balled my eyes out for about 10 minutes before I said yes! Here are some pics of the amazing bling! I am so spoilt! Daniel went to a proper Diamond expert and picked an amazing Emerald cut diamond - colour E, Clarity VVS1 with pave shoulder stones set in White Gold! I am so lucky!!!
