Ask a Question
SURPRISE WEDDING DANCE- Please Vote! Which one should we go for?
Right, I never asked you ladies to vote but the day has come that I am totally clueless and frustrated with our surprise first dance.
First we wanted to do this:

But after practising it once or twice we realised that I CAN NOT breakdance/pop&lock to save my life.

Then we decided to go down the hip-hop route as that's more FI's territory. We didn't want to do the Baby Got Back dance as we wanted something original. So we decided we'd dance to Ice Cube: U Can Do It which is pretty rude but I like the beat and I don't mind rude... ;o)

After practising THAT a few times we realised that either we do the 'rude bwoy & gal' grinding dance which may not please my Dad too much or we break into some serious krumping which may result in us being rushed to hospital with multiple fractures. See, I'm alright dancing in a club when no one's watching but I ain't no Usher or JT to bust those moves...

So we arrived at Pulp Fiction. Nice and easy... And I LOVED the film.

So question:
WHICH ONE IS THE WINNER FOR YOU???

UPDATE:

We've got the winning combo:
Afrika Bambaataa: Looking for the Perfect Beat (breakdance)
Michael Jackson: Thriller (Thriller moves)
MC Hammer: Can't Touch This (MC H moves)
Grease: Grease Lightning (Grease moves)
Pulp Fiction Dance

YAY!!!

I THINK YOU COULD DO A MIXTURE OF EVERYTHING....DO SOMETHING THAT IS YOUR GUY'S PERSONALITY

It doesn't rally matter what type of dance you do. The thing is you both have to be comfortable and confident in your ability to pull it off. I hope I helped :)

i like the pulp fiction, if u're doing the dance on the movie, its REALLY cute and fun! thats a good idea, i would never think of that dance.  and its pretty easy so u can def pull it off but still bring your personalities into it!

I think you should combine some songs and make your own dance. That way you can dance the way you want to and not embarrass yourself in front of your dad or anyone else. Plus you can make you all you!

They all look fun.  I agree with the majority; a little bit of them all would be nice.  But my personal fav is Ice Cube!

Why don't you do something grease.  Grease has quite a bit of dancing and and it's not to complicated

I also think that you should mix your favourite musics.
We are also going to make a surprise first dance. I collected 5-6 songs from our favs and my Love will mix the songs with a mixer programme and after the perfect music block is ready we are going to create the choreography. This whole block will be around 1 or 2 minutes.
It is very important that this dance hold the attention of audience, and it could be made with just good music, which on you can dance the best!

We chose for example:
C & C Music factory - Everybody dance now
Michael Jackson - Black or white

Good Luck to practising!! :o)

I've been trying to get this situation at hand but it's not going right for me either.  Dancing is very important to me and my fiance doesn't dance.  I have cried about it and found several things I could do.

1-I thought about us doing a surprise dance <----he doesn't dance so that's out.

2-I thought about getting together with my bridal party to make up a dance <----they all live too far to practice.

3-I thought about using my toe shoes and dancing around him

4-I thought about hiring some dancers and have them come out when the music messes up to surprise everybody but they costs an arm and leg.  I really want this but can't afford it right now but it's still on my mind.

ryc: i know- I'm british (with dual nationality) & my family still lives over there. I left last summer because I just couldn't stand the way the country was going- it was nothing like the england I grew up in only a few years ago. personally, i don't think the labour government's done anything for the country except screw it up and have encouraged people to leech off benefits instead of working for themselves or being responsible for themselves, but the moment someone actually NEEDS something, it's unavailable. I can't tell you how happy i am to be away from there. It'll always be home, but a little part of me died the last time I was there.
