What the hell were you thinking Darling?

Ask a Question
WARNING!! PG-RATED QUESTION: S.e.x. or sleep on wedding night?

So, Jason insists we turn the bedroom upside down after our wedding celebrations have finished..
I'm not so sure.
Knowing myself pretty well, I can honestly say:
1. I won't be able to sleep the night before the wedding
ergo
2. I am gonna be tired and emotional
ergo
3. All the drinks consumed will hit me big time
ergo
4. Once I'm in our hotel room, I'm gonna kick off everything, have a shower and fall into bed.

Now this is when Jason thinks the action will start...hmmm.

What are your plans laydeez? Rock the boat or beauty sleep?

I think that usual people assume there will be boat rockin on the wedding night. I know we probably will but i think this is one of those things that whatever happens happens. I know we are using our honeymoon to make a baby!

It all depends seriously on how tired both of us are from an all day wedding. He may be surprised on how exausting a wedding is.

Maybe a quickie in the limo on the way to the hotel? Or in the bridal suite at the reception hall? we shall see if we make it to the hotel room

80% of people I talk to say they were too tired. I'm sure we both will be exhausted but who knows, I will let the mood take control and won't be specifically planning anything.

I cannot belive you are actually asking this!!  I would expect my fiance to expect to rock the flip out of the boat so much so that it sinks worse than the Titanic.  If however, you BOTH agree, at that time, that you are too tired, then so be it.  However to go into your wedding day asking yourself if you should or shouldn't is, in my opinion, selling out and selling out hard.  Have you asked your hubby this question?  Did you even consider asking him?  By the way, its BOTH your wedding day.

Claude,
Selling out?????? Why so harsh? You're hurting my feelings!! :o)
Since you know me so well, let me present some of the facts:
I DO talk to my hubby, if I didn't, what would be the point of marrying him. He said the same thing as others above: maybe a quickie, maybe a full-on session, maybe just a cuddle and lots of kisses. Is my marriage gonna be doomed just because I don't do my husband on the wedding night??Pleeeeaaase! We've been living together for 5 years and trust me there's a lot of sex going on. But thanks for your great input anyway!

I did not mean to hurt your feelings, really.  Nor did I mean to say that you didn't or don't talk to your hubby.  I also didn't mean any disrespect.  I was just confused by the question posed.  To me, that is something that you would deal with at the moment with your hubby.  I suppose you wouldn't be used to my tone either and so why you thought it harsh.  I apologize.

Definitely rockin' the boat!  I'm guessing it'll be a quickie, then sleep, then lots the rest of the honeymoon... but I picture us tired and very drunk.  Who knows though?  Just go with the flow with how the night goes :-)

I have no idea.. just for the simple fact that I know im going to party like its 1999 lol. Plus weddings are exhausting and you dont have to be a genius to know that. I know im going to be exhausted either way but if my hubby is down then it is soooooooo on.

It's a more of a in the moment kinda thing. If you're both feeling it, it won't matter what you planned.

I am defiantly getting some on my wedding night :D

I hear that legally you are not married untill you "consummate" the marriage (have sex).  i watched this court show where the wife was trying to get alimony but the husaband said that she hasn't slept with him since before they were wed. the woman agreed, and the judge said that since that was true she wasn't entitled to any alimony because the marriage hadn't been consummated. crazy huh?

You handled that comment above very well... I would be like... THIS IS A BLOG, Obviously MOST women will consult their partner about everything, but this a place where you can ask a question and hear what other brides are doing!
P.S. Claude
I am SO happy to hear you will be expecting your fiance to "rock the flip out of the boat so much so that it sinks worse than the Titanic" I do hope however, that he is not tired... you don't want him to be a sell-out after all....
