What a productive day! We...
1. finally finished the cardbox!
It only took me 3 weeks to do. lol. Im happy with the outcome, but Im upset at the outlining of the hot glue through the ribbon. :(
Does it look tacky, yall? Im thinking about taking the ribbon off and using double sided tape to adhere it?
2. Booked our DJ!
He was so friendly and professional. He really knows his stuff! Im really getting excited now!
3. Started gathering adresses to mail save the dates.
4. Made an appointment with a planner/director for tomorrow.
I really want someone to be able to make sure the reception site gets set up the way I want it and be able to handle other small details for the day. Is anyone else out their getting planners or directors for their day?
5. Found our photographer! Since the photographer who did our Epics are already booked, we started googling local photogs. Turns out, she went to highschool with Fh back in the day. AND... is going to do a photobooth for us. Its not something she offers, but I just randomly decided to ask and she said shed be willing to make it happen. Shes awesome :) So excited about that!
6.Changed my mind on centerpieces yet again. Same concept, different vase. boo. im tired of hearing and thinking about centerpieces.
cre8tive- thanks for the suggestions! i never thought about using spray glue. i am definitely going to get some! :)
mibride2010- my centerpiece is a diy. I just bought some ribbon, double sided tape, crystal garland, 4' floral ball, and about 4 bunches of silk carnations. First I took all the carnation flowers and put them on the ball. No hot glue required, just take them off the stem and press them into the ball. Once I had the whole ball covered I took a strand of the crystal garland and tied it to a paper clip and stuck it in the center of the ball. I used the double sided tape to put the ribbon at the top of the vase and the bottom.
I hope this helps you. I have a hard time describing the method to my madness. lol
I’m so proud of you! Hip Hop Hooray! From: Budget Queen!
thank you for your time
