Booked!
BIG weight lifted off our shoulders!
EEEEE! I am so happy! We booked a venue :) :)
It's going to be at the Massachusetts Horticultural Society, it's beeaaautiful! I'm happy with our decision because the payment for the venue is basically a donation to the society, so we are doing something good with our money too :) We have also decided to change our colors. I originally wanted yellow and white because I wanted a beach style wedding, but now that we're in a giant garden I think I'm going to go with a gerbera daisy theme. I love how it looks, but I feel that a lot of people are doing this also and I hate to be one to follow the pack. So we'll see if I can get anything creative out of this. |

Divorced Parents?
OK, so both my and Ben's parents are divorced, my parents don't speak to each other and neither do Ben's. In fact, there will probably be a lot of tension. Is anyone else in this situation? I don't know what to do about the head table (if i have one), or what to do about any of it really. Also, I live with my father and my step mother, and while she's been a mother like figure for me for the past few years, I would rather have my mom be more present than her, but I don't want to hurt any feelings. (I also didn't mention that my family hasn't seen my mother in 5 years, I'm the only one whose been keeping in contact with her. I'm not sure my dad would allow me to invite her).
I feel like just eloping at this point! |

Frustrating
I'm thinking I need to raise our budget significantly? We haven't set one yet, but we were ultimately thinking under 10K because we really didn't think we would need more than that.. ha.
Well, in my obsession to find the perfect venue, I think I may have found it. The Interlaken Inn. It's incredibly scenic, surrounded by mountains and a lake. Also, they make your wedding a wedding weekend! Guests can stay at the Inn Fri-Sun and they plan a lot of events. Thats one thing I was looking for, something different and something fun! Unfortunately, it's $129 per person, with 100 person minimum. We were only planning on inviting 75 people, I don't think we have 100 friends! This price drops significantly to $89 a person in the winter, with no minimum. What to do... Maybe I need to hit up Dad... !! |

Vineyard Wedding
help!
I'm thinking about having my wedding at a vineyard. I am working at one right now, but it is way too small for a wedding, and we are planning on getting married in MA not Long Island..
Does anyone have any ideas/pictures/websites that I could get inspiration from?? |

Wedding Decoration
=(
I saw this on the knot and I think it's a cute idea to have pinwheels stuck in the grass all over, maybe lining the aisle during the ceremony.
also, i visited the bradley estate yesterday and while it's not awful, it's just now what I'm looking for. I'm getting upset now :( I'm also thinking about moving the wedding to the fall so I'll have the beautiful fall foliage, if I were to do that do you think I could keep the yellow? Or is that too summery? I might change it to white and dark green, what do you all think?? |

Magazine Cut-outs
I cut these out ages ago (pre-engagment) as inspiration, and I still love it! Is that weird?? Hahaha! I like the hair of the girl in the 1st and 2nd pics, and that is definately the suit that I'm making Ben wear (ha!). I love it all!

Honeymoon
Morgan's Rock Hacienda & Ecolodge, San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua.
I was just browsing for potential places for our honeymoon and found this place! We're definitely not ready to book anything yet but just look at the pictures!!
It is along the Pacific Coast of Central America. The entire location embodies the principles of conservation, from earth friendly furniture to trees that grow straight through cabin roofs! You can have total privacy and it features outside garden showers and has a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean. You can go hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding and surfing I've always wanted to do a Paris honeymoon, but ohhhh man! |
