Invitation
Annie's invitation studio... FRAUD!!!!!!!
we ordered our invitations in december from Annie's invitation studio based out of california. We corresponded back and fourth via email almost hourly, she was so helpful and so attentive i was excited to have such a helpful person doing our invitations. She sent us a proof in late january, and said it would be about 2 more weeks. 2 months passed and we heard nothing from her. i started emailiing and calling and yet she never responded. Finally she wrote back a single line that said "packaging invitations, will be shipped today" that was about 2 months ago, since then she's ignored my calls, and threats to report her to visa. Recently her website posted something about not processing any orders and then it shut down. maybe she scammed someone else and they beat me to the punch in shutting her down??? i don't know. none the less, visa will refund our money since there was no product shipped, and fine her as well for "mis representing the VISA name"

however that doesnt help the fact that the invitations were going to be mailed in 2 weeks, and we have none. we have to find a new company ,a new inviation that we love for a great price, and start the whole process all over again, which there isn't time for, which now means we have to pay additional for a RUSH order.

i was and still am sooooo furious.

of all things to scam someone on, their wedding day????
thats lower than low!!!

Hi Kelly
I have had exactly the same problem with her! I am so disappointed and let down.  We are in Ireland and invites here are so expensive that I thought I was being smart ordering them from the US.  Same thing ordered them in January and she was really helpful until she got my money and then nothing. She claims they are shipped but initially said that at the end of Feb!! We ordered others today as they needed to be sent by last week.  Did you manage to get visa to refund your payment, I wasn't sure what our rights would be?

I was scammed by Annie also.  I read about her on other wedding blogs, but it was too late.  I mentioned the blogs to her and she asked me to send her the link.  I refused because she goes on and pretends to be a satisfied customer....I saw that on one of the blogs too.  I haven't heard from her, but I just went on her website and unfortunately, it is still up and running.  What has to be done to get it shut down??????  I payed with my debit/mastercard so I probably can't get my money back.  There should be some sort of punishment for her.

Wow ladies!!
Funny thing is, after i posted that post she emailed me saying that visa was contacting her about fraud.... and that she was out of the country with her "sick grandpa", she apparently sent the invitations before she left and when she returned they were on her doorstep with a return slip saying my address was wrong. She begged me not to contact paypal and that she wanted me to believe her and understand that she was going through a hard time blah blah.  She said she was shipping them this weekend and i would have them by tuesday at the latest, as well as that she would be throwing in free thank you cards.  i guess im naive because i really really wanted to believe her and that they were on the way. I guess we will see tomorrow, but from the sounds of you ladies, its not gonna happen.   If you paid via credit card you can just call them and tell them you ordered online, your card was charged and no product was received. They will contact her and give her one week to supply a delivery slip to them with your signature as PROOF that you did receive her package, if she cant supply proof (Which clearly there wont be) visa will return your money and charge her.   I don't know how we can get her shut down, but hopefully by so many bloggers talking about it word will spread and people can be on the look out.  Contact mastercard Sgibson beacuse they should return your money, they're reallly good about stuff like that.  I'm going to file a complaint through paypal to shut her down you ladies should do the same and hopefully we can get her off the net and scamming us poor brides!!

**UPDATE**

i emailed her back saying that i was in touch with other brides that were promised the same thing and that she failed to deliver, she wrote back saying that she has never dealt with anyone in ireland and she has never scammed anyone in her life... blah blah... and that i will be sorry when my invitations DO arrive.

i'm still WANTING to believe her... but the evidence suggests otherwise. i searched through the net and found 8 other brides on different blogs and such complaining of the same things about Annie.

they never showed up on Tuesday like they were supposed too, i left her more emails, my mom left multiple emails and voicemails, none of which were returned. Finally my mom emailed her for a coworkers email "pretending" to be a new customer looking to purchase  new invitations, annie replied within 5 minutes to this request. my mom then proceeded to yell at her and tell her that this was disgusting and that she was going to make sure she got shut down. Annie then ignored the email, my mom continued and got a response back from annie saying " stop badgering me"  ........ she wouldnt need to be badgered if she was a wholesome person and delivered what she said she would.  she said they're in USPS, we asked her to send them fedex COD and we would pay all charges, a request that was clearly ignored, USPS will take like 2-3 before it gets to canada which now brings me to the end of may, i know she never sent them, she's just stalling. i have an appointment this weekend to get new ones from a local company that is willing to rush my order.
i'm posting on multiple wedding forums about annie to make sure people don't order from her ever again.  She has an ebay store and an Etsy store as well, i'm trying to shut her down.

Hi
Sorry you are going through this too! I am in Ontario as well and have been waiting for 8 weeks since I approved my final proof. It's the same thing with me. She keeps telling me they have already been sent and will be here this week. I really hope they come but have pretty much given up. I have already started a resolution with PayPal so hopefully I'll get my money back soon. I don't know what I am going to do for invites though because I had been planning to send them out by May 1st!!! I have my fingers crossed that you received yours b/c then maybe I will get mine too!! Good Luck!
p.s. Even if they do come it's still not a way to do business! Just be honest about how long they will take!!!!!

OMG!!! I cannot believe this?! I feel like I am reading my own story online here?! Wow! Ladies, I contacted the local police department in California and now my local police department and they will be contacting her.  I am contacting a local tv station  personality here who deals with companies who screw people over.  If I tell him my story then it gets the word out to other brides.  But I think we should come together as a team and take this lady to court, thoughts?

Well ladies, I too made up a fake email and she responded right away, when I called her on all of these goings on, she asked me for yet another extension!  When I told her no and what she was doing to brides was criminal, she told me I had no humanity for her personal issues! lol!  I hope this lady is stopped, she almost ruined my wedding day, but ya know, I'll be damned if I let that happen, even if it means I settle for new invites.  Good luck gals!

Hi Kelly, I wasn't sure if you ever got this resolved, I hope so. I get a lot of hits on my blog for Annie's Invitation Studio and I wanted to see what the deal was. (I am a different Annie who also does invitations! ;)) - a girl on my local knot board was also ripped off by the same person. I sincerely wish you the best of luck. If you're still looking please feel free to check out my etsy (charmingpaper.etsy.com). Good luck in the rest of your planning, looks like you have a ton of great DIY projects going on!
