So.. my dress is strapless..and I'm having a really hard time deciding if I want to wear a necklace or not.
My hair will be long and half down, so I think that having it resting on my shoulders will be enough...but I don't want to look like I'm missing something either.
I will be wearing a tiara, and I'm thinking big chandelier like earrings. So I'm also worried with a necklace I might be too 'blingy'.
What are you girls doing?

I think if you're wearing a tiara and big earrings, a necklace might be too much, esp if your hair will be partly down too. I think it depends a lot on the dress though too. I'm wearing a strapless dress and I'm going to wear a necklace but I think my hair is going to be up and simple and I don't think I'll have crazy earrings on.

I agree with loveatthebeach, it may be too much but I do think it depends on your dress, too. If you feel like you are missing something, you could always just go for a very simple necklace or your hair resting and everything else would be enough too.

No necklace, could be too much. But have one on hand just in case you feel "naked" or that it needs something!

I agree. A necklace is too much if you are planning on wearing a tiara and chandelier earrings. You might want to re-think the earrings too. I didn't want a tiara, but bought chandelier earrings instead (no necklace). When I put it all on, they were still too much. I ended up wearing a small pearl necklace (that I already had) and pearl earrings. I thought it looked much more elegant. In my opnion, bling is good, but too much bling is tacky.

thanks for the input ladies!! i haven't picked out my earrings yet, but they're not going to be huge chandelier style or anything, as i know with the tiara they will be a bit much too.. but i really am going for the whole 'princess' look, haha...so i just like that style of earring, but will do it a medium size, not super big..

i have a strapless dress as well and will be wearing my hair similar to yours. I am just planning on wearing big earrings and a nice bracelet. I think you should choose either the earrings or the necklace...it would be too much to have both with the tiara.

I agree-no necklace. I have seen a million that I love, but plan on wearing some swankier earrings and a nice chunky bracelet, so a necklace is going to be too much. I don't want to take away from the beading and neckline on my dress. ps-I LOVE your dress :)

specially since you are wearing a tiara and big earrings? I don't know if a necklace would be best, and it also depends on your dress.

I am not wearing a necklace. The bodice of my gown is BLING enough and a necklace will just take away from it.

I say no.

The earings & Tiara will be just enough. Especially if the earings are long & stand out.

If you want to wear a necklace, I suggest you go for smaller less bold choice of earings.

I dont think I would add a necklace when you have all the other jewlery going on.
