My flower girl is my matron of honors' (aka: my best friend!) little girl. Her name is Skyler!
My ring bearer is my fiance's nephew!
His name is Parker!

we finalized our cakes today, got them ordered, and they are going to awesome! don't laugh, but i could not find a perfect picture of what cake i wanted, so i drew it!!! lol. the bakery said it happens all the time, so i didn't feel that bad! it has to be perfect! also there is a picture of robs reese cup cake! it tastes amazing!

(keep in mind, i am NOT the best artist!)

i finally finished the invitations today, and i am gonna put them in the mail tomorrow! geesh....postage is expensive! here is a picture of them...it is kinda a bad pic, but anyways, they are seal and send invites so just pictre them folded up! =D

I was wondering if there were any Alabama brides on here?!?! I think it would be awesome to hear some of my fellow southern ladies ideas...and very helpful!

We got our invitations in today! they are absolutely beautiful! i am gonna try to post a picture of them (i don't know how well the pic will turn out). we also got our matches in. they are awesome too. they are black with red writing that says "Kera & Rob June 7, 2008." we are going to set a small table up with 2 vases with sparklers and a nice decorative bowl with the matches in it. the bowl is black and clear glass, along with two matching tall candleholders. i found it today at Hobby Lobby for half off! i have been bargain shopping here lately!!! =D we are going to also have a sign on the table with the damask border, that says Farewill Sparklers (like the picture).

so i decided throughout all my madness of wedding planning, i would add some laughter to our chaos. so i found rob the perfect shirt. i knew he would love it!

ok ladies! i need some of your advice! once again i am being in decisive and i can't choose which label to use on the centerpiece vases? the vases are round, and it will have a ribbon around it. i am putting red marbles and black river rocks in the bottom and a tall pillar candle in them. let me know what ya think....all opinions count!!! thanks bunches!
(don't pay attention to the black around the diamond labels....for some reason it want go away! )

so i FINALLY got rob to take time and come do wedding stuff today! =D we finished all of our registering, and had alot of fun doing it. (lets just say rob went CRAZY with the scanner)

My MOH has already planned me a lingerie shower and bacherlorette party......

Now lets just hope someone is throwing me a bridal shower!!! ;)

so did i mention i LOVE office max? lol. i went to pick up my frames today and i found some really cute damask DIY invitations that i am going to use for the rehearsal dinner. it came in a pack of 50, along with the envelopes, but it also came with 50 folding cards, with envelopes also.....and the best part about it, it was $26!!! whoop whoop! =D

seeing that i am soooo indecisive.....this last minute change has actually been helpful in the long run!!! since i changed the bridesmaids dresses BACK to black with a red sash....i am going to be able to get the groomsmen to wear a red vest. YEAH! i was having trouble with the champagne because the company we were using to get the tuxes did not have a champagne colored vest that was solid....they only had the ones with the diamond textures.....UGH! so it is all gonna work out now!!!

OMG....i have been looking everywhere on the internet for damask picture frames to put candid shots of me and rob in for the reception. NO LUCK! i found one on ebay.com, but she only had 2 left....talk about depressing....i needed at least 8. so anyways....i went to office max the other day to pick up my future father in law some tickets for his work, when there they were! in my face! an entire endcap of EVERYTHING damask you could imagine.....including my picture frames! not to mention, they were 3.99 each! could this be my lucky day? i guess so, because they had 16 of them!!! of course i bought all of them! I LOVE OFFICE MAX! they were a lifesaver!

i am going to get white and red organza bags (prob black too?) and put 2 hershey kisses in them. then i am going to get a ribbon and tie around the bags, attaching my beautiful tag i made on there. the tags have damask borders and a cute little saying on there, with our names and dates. i am also have match books made to correspond with the sparklers. the boxes will be black with silver writing on them. when i finally get one made i am going to post a pic on here

i have been hearing that gerbera daisies are going to be pretty pricey? i have no clue on the cost of flowers, so i was wondering if i maybe needed to change to a cheaper flower....and if so what would it be? something red though. we are on a budget, but i don't want to skip on something that is going to MAKE the wedding. any advice ladies? i need some flower expertise! lol.

so tomorrow we are going to birmingham to davids bridal to take the last two bridesmaids to get sized for their dresses! they are actually paid for...and will be in on may 15, which is kinda pushing it, but i know everything will go great (or at least i pray so!) we are going with th davids bridal style number 8007 with the 2 inch black sash! it looked great on the girls, just as i had imagined. although i did have a little bit of a setback when i found out they ordered my wedding gown instead of putting back the one straight from the rack. i am in the weight loss process....and the dress i tried on fit me perfect. i was too afraid of ordering a brand new dress, because i was terrified it would be tooooo tight. so the consultant forgot to put the dress back....and she ordered a new one. just pray i can lose enought weight to squeeze into it!!!!!

ok so the rings are taken care of finally! we were wanting to have my band custom made to match my engagement ring....but when we found out how much it was going to cost....we quickly changed our mind! it was going to be $1300, which is not much considering my FH paid $4500 for my engagement ring...but that was back when money was not a problem! now we are on a BUDGET! so i found a ring that was almost identical to the ring i wanted made, but it didn't have the antique design around the band...it was just solid. the jewelers also gave us a deal we could not turn down! the ring was originally priced at $699, but he sold it to us for $519! great deal huh? =D

ok so i received the email from walmart.com saying that our candle screens were shipped to the store and were ready for pickup. i picked them up today and pulled them out and they are gorgeous! they are going to look awesome in the background at the church. FYI: we are using the candle screens instead of old-fashioned candleabras. i have saw this done at a wedding before and it looked so modern and non-traditional so i said i have to do it! plus it gives it a great romantic feeling!

I found this picture and this is EXACTLY what i want! instead of the white flowers, there will be red gerber daisies. this centerpiece will be on the 8 round tables, and then the candles in the second picture will be on the other 6 oval tables. the tables will be mixed together.



i found some vases at Old Time Pottery that were a great price so i purchased 12 of them. we are going to use 8 for centerpieces and the other 4 on the candy table. the vases are round and clear, so to spice them up i am going to print out our wonderful monogram that kelly made onto clear labels, put them on the vase, and tie a beautiful red ribbon around it! its gonna be gorgeous! i am still contemplating on what to put inside though! lol. i really like the idea of the curly willows or birch branches....with a little extra inside such as daisys...i don't know. that is my project for this week!

we purchased rob's ring today. its a tungsten ring (so he can't scratch it!) i am not sure what style or size it is, but he loves it! also, when rob purchased my engagement ring, he had it customed made. beautiful, i must say....but extremely hard to find a wedding band to match! so they took a picture of my ring, and are having to custom make me a wedding band. i will try to get a picture soon!

I also ordered the invitations, napkins, and thankyou notes today. the invitation i went with was the seal and send, ecru in color, and has our picture in the background. i love them. our napkins are going to be red with black writing with our monogram and date on them, and vice versa....black with red writing. the thankyou notes also have our monogram on them. everything is falling into place!

I finally got my wedding dress yesterday....GORGEOUS. actually it was the first one i tried on. i bought it at davids bridal and the salespeople were extremely helpful. needless to say, i am very pleased! i would LOVE to put a picture up of it....but my fiance is dying to see it and i know he would be sneaky!!! =D

We finally made a decision today! we went to davids bridal and i thought i was going to pull my hair out! then there it was! sitting there staring right at me! perfect! and its on sale for $99! we are going to get the dresses in champagne and get a thick sash in black. i am kinda leaning toward a latte color, just because it is a little darker, but i am not sure yet. any thoughts brides? oh yeah...they WILL NOT be wearing the cover up thingy...yuck! lol.

We have booked a DJ! he is a friend of ours that works at a nightclub. he is giving us an awesome deal! only &250 for the entire night! its gonna be great!

i definitely have to have a candy table for the kiddies....and rob! =D

i found a videographer today. he has a full time job, but he does videography on the weekends. did i mention he is a friend of the family??? =D he is giving us an awesome deal, so i couldn't be happier!!!

ok, so have i told ya yet that i am indecisive??? lol. i have once again changed my mind on the colors of the dresses. this time i am thinking of the dresses being black with a champagne sash, or either white sash. i really wanted to keep the reception red, black, and white...but i love the champagne color? please give me some opinions!!! =D

I think this is the cutest dress! it would have red flowers and ribbon instead of the pink. i am having two flower girls, one is 5 and the other is 4.

I got this idea from another bride, and i love it. we are having a church wedding, so i am wondering what it will look like. i think it is great because it is something that can be kept forever. i know it is a great idea instead of a candle if you are having an outside wedding because of the wind, but i wonder how well it will be in a church? what do you think?

I didn't want to have a regular guest book, but when i found this one...i said we have to have it! so we are going to have two! =D
It is the second picture, with the same theme of "today i marry my best friend."


Instead of using a typical guest book, we are getting a signature frame so we can hang it on the wall to cherish forever! =D

I have long, strainght hair. So i want to have loose curls and possible pulled back a little on the top. I love the messy but beautiful look!

The bridesmaids dresses will be champagne with black sashes!!! I want to have the classy yet sophisticated look!

I really like the dress on the far left...strapless. I may also have each bridesmaid in a different top.

Here are some ideas for my cake! I am not really a cake eater, but i love Red Velvet! So the idea of red, champagne, and black colors will go wonderful with the red velvet cake and buttercream icing!!!

Our reception will be later in the afternoon...so what better idea that sparklers! they make awesome pictures too!

I have the perfect idea of what wedding dress i want...i just have to go pick it out! i want something strapless with tons of beadwork on the top and along the bottom of the dress. also i have to have a VERY LONG TRAIN! it makes you feel like a princess! =D

I love the romantic look! So the reception area will have dim lights...and lots of candles and accent lighting! The tree branch idea with the hanging tealight candles is a wonderful idea! (also very inexpensive!)

I decided on invitations and i am going to order them this week! so cute! they follow the theme "today i marry my best friend."


I love these invitations...they are so personal. I will tie them with a red ribbon! (the ribbon will have our names and wedding date on it!)

I have decided to use gerber daisies and this picture is EXACTLY what i want the bridemaids bouquets to look like.


Not sure exactly what kind of flowers, possibly roses, daisies, or cala lillies in red. The bouquets will have black or champagne ribbon wrapped with pearl pins.

She is wonderful! She has helped me so much with the planning process....she is not only our photographer, but an awesome friend of the family! I totally recommend her to anyone.
