How long did you date before you got engaged?
about a month Did you get the ring you wanted? at first no, but now I have it! Was the proposal a complete surprise? Yes Do you wish you had a bigger/smaller diamond? If so How big or small? The newest addition to our wedding party
Introducing Cole Thomas
Finally after a long and miserable feeling pregnancy I was induced Monday. Cole Thomas came 3 hours after they broke my water. He weighed 7 pounds 13 ounces and was 20 inches long.
We are including all 4 of our kids in the ceremony and his role will be pulled in a wagon with signs on the side that says " here comes the bride " I am so glad that I finally had him. In about 4 weeks or so we're going to go try on dresses and hopefully I'll be able to find my wedding gown! I am so ready to finish planning this wedding. It feels like I really haven't done anything and there is still so much to do and we have little time, almost down to 3 months and that scares the crap outta me!! |

DIY Invitations
How long in advance did you DIY invitation makers start making your invitations? We don't have a final count on how many we need to make, but so far I know it's about 60. These aren't going to be just print them off yourself invites, like from Hobby Lobby or WalMart, I have to assemble pockets as well.

Wedding Reception
My great finds!!!
I had planned on doing the whole "I do" words for my cake table. When I was out on one of my Dollar Tree adventures I was looking through their wooden letters and then I came across these wooden plaques that had sayings on them.
I thought, screw the "I do"!! I bought 3 different ones. The Love one will go on our cake table, and then I got one that says Family and one that says Friends. I plan on putting those on the guestbook table. I still need to paint and decorate them, but still!! I also got a basket for my programs to go in and then I found in the middle of all these birthday ribbons some snowflake ribbon! I about had a heart attack. I plan on wrapping the ribbon around my basket. I still need to get at least one more basket for our favors and I'll wrap that basket in it too. I would really suggest going to Dollar Tree or whatever your local dollar store is to look for anything you might need for your wedding! They even have a wedding asile. I've seen where some people are doing CD's as their wedding favors, they have printable CD labels so you could customize them and you can't beat a buck. I also got our envelope labels there too. 360 of them for a buck. They had colored sand and I figured wow, someone that was gonna do a sand ceremony instead of doing the unity candle would really like that!! I got the ribbon that is going on our wedding invitations there too. I still need more things, but I had to stop myself today lol. Also, I would recommend looking on Craigslist for things. I'm waiting to hear back from a lady that just had a wedding and has 16 disposable cameras left that are unused and wants 20 bucks for them all. That's alil over a buck a piece for those! i plan on doing a "picture scavenger hunt" at our reception so that would save a lot too!! |

How would you word this?!
My wedding venue allows Alcohol, my thing is I don't want to have to spend a bunch on it. I plan on including it there and I am going to purchase some, but I thought about putting an extra insert card in the invitations and having it say something along the lines of BYOB, but not like that.. you know what I mean!? Like saying beer and alcohol is welcome and you can bring your own. I just don't know how to word it!! Anyone have any ideas?! I know it might not be ettiqute (sp) but we're not those type of people anyways!!

Okay so after I played around alil bit more with ideas and stuff, I made water bottle labels that I love!! I only have one design, and I think that's what I will probably stick with unless I can find something else that I just have to have!!
Here's some pics!! I was thinking about selling these and doing ones for bridal showers, bachlorette parties, baby showers, and birthday parties. |

Wedding site booked!!!!
Well I guess we could say our date is official!! I called and booked our site over the phone this morning!! The supervisor emailed me all the rental agreement forms and a special use form for all of the things I need that they provide!!
I am so excited beyond belief to actually say we are REALLY getting married on Janurary 30th, 2010!!!!!! |

People.. I swear!!!
Okay so my mom and I went 30 miles to check out our wedding location and we were suppose to book it since we were out there and had the money. When we got there, BEFORE 6:30, we actually got there at 6:10 and no one was there to unlock the door for us to look at!! I was sooo aggervated!! We were able to look in through the big sliding glass doors they had and I still loved it!! It's gonna look so beautiful for a winter wedding with white lights and snowflakes and it has kinda a log cabin look to it as well!
I emailed her back yesterday to let her know the situation and she told me that she would put Jan. 30th on hold for us for a few days and if I wanted to book it over the phone then we could call with a visa or mastercard, neither me or Kevin nor my parents have one, so my mom is gonna call my sister and see if we can use hers and then just give her the money. I can't wait to have it booked and then everything will hopefully fall into place |

Save the Date Magnets
I really didn't plan on sending out save the date cards, but since pretty much ALL of Kevin's family lives outta state and we just recently set a date he wanted us to send them out so that everyone knew and have enough time to make travel arrangements.
In 2006 when he proposed I started gathering ideas for our wedding. We'd set a date in our minds and then end up changing it due to my stupid divorce and so we would find new things to go with the new themes, lol. I did know that if I was gonna do save the dates then I wanted them to be magnets. My mom works at a signage company and gets free things like rolls of magnet. I have a scrapbook program that makes all kinds of different things, so what I did was choose the business card size. Then I found an image I liked online and put that on there along with the text and BAM!! I was done!! I'm gonna print them off as soon as I can figure out why the heck my printer isn't working. But I did take a picture of it off my computer to show ya'll. It's not the best picture, but you can see what I did!! I plan on getting some cardstock in a blue color, or even silver, and putting those underneath the cards so there's a boarder. Then I'm gonna take my elaminator and laminate them and then stick em on the magnet!!! I will post more pictures when I'm done to show my finished project!! |
