Did anyone go through as much trouble as I did when trying to change my last name?
Man I have been married for 3 months an oh my God everytime I turn around there is something else that needs to be change. Maybe this will help some brides I have listed some key things that can and cannot be changed.I hopes this help with some brides. If I had this check list it would have helped me.
Credit Cards-Can be changed Car Insurance- Cannot be changed until renewal (maybe) Car Loan- Will not change Morg. or rental- Cannot be changed but can initals and add on to previous name Drivers License- Can be changed bring marriage license Register to Vote- Do not by the whole driver license place will change your voters card for you contact them to change your voters card directly. You will need to send out a form and a copy of the new license. Tag office- Bring proof of marriage when going to apply again SSN- Bring marriage license School records- If you are in college bring marriage license Student or personal loan- maybe depending on company bring mariage license Company you work for -fax in to the human resources d.l and marriage license Health insurance- Do it asap some companies will not allow change after 30 days of marriage Passport it's free with proof of marriage and taking a new picture (90 days) |
