Couple's Shower
Practicing Feeding Each Other Cake!
My awesome MOH and our awesome friend threw us a couple's shower last night! It was awesome :) One of the games we were blindfolded and had to feed each other cupcakes. I thought I would share some of the pictures with you guys! I ended up getting icing up my nose!

Damask flower Pots made into a fountain!
My FH had a brilliant idea to make a fountain out of flower pots. He really wanted to incorporate them into the wedding somehow, but they were all extremely expensive. So my FH being the creative person he is decided to make it out of flower pots. We were looking in Home Depot yesterday and to my amazement I found damask flower pots!! I was so stoked. They were a tad expensive, but I could not pass them up! It evened out because we found some more pots cheap at London Drugs. Not damask, but FH spray painted a damask logo on the pots with a stencil! What do you guys think? We are thinking of marketing these after the wedding. Because they were really cheap to make. We could sell them cheaper then other fountains out there and still make a profit! I am not selling my damask fountain though, in case you guys were wondering! I love them too much! I LOVE THEM!!!

Centerpiece Mock Trial
I did my centerpieces today and I absolutely love them!! I hope they will look good on the round tables we are using. We are probably going to be using larger black ribbon around the base. What do you guys think? Does it need anything else?

DIY Wedding
DIY Damask Cupcake stand
My wonderful FH created our cupcake stand! I love how he is so involved in the wedding planning. We are putting green apples inside each of the vases that are holding up the tiers! My FMIL is making us a square cake for us to cut to sit on the top tier. It will be banana chocolate chip. My FH favorite cake! We will getting all my girls together next week to make the 100 cupcakes! FUN!!!

DIY Wedding
Flower Girl Basket
While I was picking out music for the reception my sweet FH created our flower girl basket. He did an awesome job. He spray painted a wicker basket, that we got from the second hand store for 99 cents, black. He then added green ribbon and flowers. I was so impressed how it turned out. Cheap and easy to make! It was peace of mind to me too because it was one less thing I had to do!

My Damask Picture Frame Cardbox
I got the idea from shenll72' to make a picture frame cardbox. I love how it turned out. I just have to get a lazy Susan so it can spin to see all the pictures. When FH was screwing it together he went a little far and cracked one of the glass frames. It was easy to replace, but just in case you decide to make it, that is something to look out for. I love the way it turned out. I am totally going to put it on display at my house after the wedding. Possibly remove the lid and put a vase inside with flowers!! What do you guys think? |
