When you think of fall, what generally crosses your mind?

For me, it's the changing of the leaves. There is something so romantic about it. The smells, the temperature, everything is just perfect in fall ...

Oh, but I couldn't forget to mention the food! I love the stews, the soups, the chili's, the pies, the breads, & everything else that comes with fall. I love October & the silly costumes we once wore as children. I love apples.

So, because I love apples ... I'm making apple butter!

I've spent a majority of my day today looking for the perfect sized jar for this. I think I'll go simple, small. I'm looking at these cute hexagon jars that would hold an ounce & a half of apple butter. That's about the perfect sample size.

Now, how's this for an idea ... the jars will have a cute, typical label that will say something like "Kimberly & Shawn" "10.11.08" "Fall in Love ..." I haven't completely decided yet. But I think I'm going to buy some small, simple stickers & put the name of a guest & a number on top of the jar - this will lead them to where they're seated. Yay or nay?

I'm thrilled that I can think about this stuff & know that it's happening so soon. I can't wait to be Mrs. Shawn. =]
