Ask a Question
Gift Ideas for bridal party and parents???
I'm having trouble finding gifts for my bridesmaids, groomsmen and parents. None of the groomsmen are drinkers. And jewellery for my bridesmaids are out as they already have the jewellery they are wearing for the wedding. And parents I just have no idea.
Please help!

***UPDATE***

So we finally decided upon the gifts for everyone. For the groomsmen we purchased cufflinks (which they both wear quite often anyways dressing up) and a gift certificate for somewhere that they like to shop. It's very difficult for us to buy something large because we are not getting married in the City where we live so we have to take all the gifts and wedding stuff by plane.

As for the bridesmaids, we have purchased goodie bags and will be filling them with all kinds of great stuff. I don't want to add on here what that is just yet as my girls tend to drop on WBC from time to time.

The gifts for the parents, we decided to buy them a digital photo frame. This way we can put family photos on it when we give it to them and afterwards they can add photos of the wedding. It's something they can have for a long time and yet it is still a memory keepsake of our day!

1.) Our best man also doesn't drink. But my FH has known him a lot longer than I have, so I am letting him pick the gift. I'm putting a lot of trust into it because I can be a perfectionist when it comes to things like that....
2.) My MOH and BM are both really close to me, they're both like sisters (one is!). But, because of a limited budget, it makes it seem like I don't give a heck about their help...we'll see. Anyway, I got them each jewelry from eBay, I made little totes that I will put little mini goodies in from the travel bin at wal-mart (mini scope, mini hand sanitizer, mini deodorant, etc.) for the wedding day plus homemade candy. I am also giving them a memory journal I am filling out along the way of planning that is about our lives together, they each get one. Then, I am paying for a pedicure for each of them a few days before the wedding--of course I will get my own too! That's it! (The total cost for each of their combo gifts: $47, but I splurged on the journals, you could easily make your own).
3.) The only parent we have is Scott's father. I got him a tie-set from me and Scott is writing him a special memory card thing...a smaller version of the memory journals I am doing for my girls.

We got the groomsmen leathermans. They're handy and we think they'd all use them.
I still don't have my bridesmaid gifts done but I think I'm also doing a tote full of goodies.
As for the parents, we're getting them parental photo albums made up, showing the wedding from the getting ready, all the way to the bouquet and garter toss.
Hope this helped. Good luck!
