 Its traditional theres a pre party at the house with traditional music which is played by a band with a clarinet 0002 The big entrance I was so scared I was going to fall. 0005 0006 0007 0008 0009 My dad trying to hide that he was crying My parents Its a tradition that the koumbadors(religious sponser) bring my shoes from the grooms house with rice and almond candies for good luck health 0020 Another tradition the groomsmen in this cause they call it something else as well as the koumbadors dress and shave the groom Our rented car they decorate with flowers My koumbado and koumbada brining the shoes with the best man Another tradition the K is suppose to put my shoes on for me and I have to pretend they dont fit so he keeps giving me money untill i feel like they fit Another tradition we walk down the village to one of the churches followed by the band that was at the house. Be throw rice from there balconies as you pass by. The groom waiting for me outside of the church not inside 0004 The band walking with me The aisle we created that my dad could walk me down. Hi ladies
Im so sorry for disappering without telling you about my wedding. I have been so lazy with posting since then. The week of the wedding it did nothing but rain! We were freaking out cause i had to walk to the church and our reception was outside. The day of the wedding it rained all morning up untill the last half hour then the sun came out. My MOH made me made cause it was about her and the kids and she was so worried about getting the kids dressed thankfully my BM told her its about the bride we need to get the bride ready! My dad cried alot and was wearing sunglasses so that no one can see his tears. My koumbadors came with my shoes and im suppose to say they dont fit so that they put money in he became such a jerk and put hardly anything in that i finally got fed up and put the shoes and said lets go the grooms waiting. We left the house and walked by foot with music to the church were my hubby was waiting for me. It was really nice cause the people in the village went out on there balconys and threw rice at me( a tradition) . We got to the church and everyone (bridal Party) walked down the makeshift aisle outside the church and my dad got to walk me down the aisle. The church cermony was great it went fast. Afterwards we drive around the village beeping our horns but our koumbadors didnt want to which aggervated me. We found people driking coffee at the cofffee bars knowing they were suppose to go directly after the cermony. Our rental car broken down for about half hour. When we arrived at the reception it looked great but a few key items that we worked hard on they didnt display right and later didnt take pics right of. It didnt rain untill we danced a specific type of dance pondia which was funny cause everyone said it sounded like a rain dance. However everyone kept on dancing in the rain. ( they tables were covered with tents but the dance floor wasnt) ( oh and they didnt put the dance floor decal :( ) The food was wonderful everyone danced we had variety for everyone. Everyone enjoyed the programs and the different customs that we added. We drank and danced untill 1:00 in the morning and afterwards we sat just us the inlaws both sides and talked about how wonderful the wedding was and how everyone enjoyed it. Our rooms were there at the reception place and we had a breakfast in the morning. One of my groomsmen forgot we were going to take pictures the other got a bloody nose the ring bearers parents took him so we didnt get any group shots which upset me but hey shit happens right. Overall im really happy with the way things came out almost all of what we worked hard to achive we did and the others we had no control over. I want to say thank you for reading my story and thank you my fellow brides to be and brides that helped me through the most difficult and most important day of my life. |

Tomorrow is the day!!
Well my fellow wbc brides today im signing off as a ms and will return as a mrs.
I wanted to thank all of you for your support through out this happy but difficult time. To the other 9-19-09 brides HAPPY WEDDING TO YOU and may it be all you hoped it will be. As i sign off one more thing i need for you a prayer please pray that it doesnt rain. There calling for rain and its outside so hope for the best. Ill be back with lots of pics. Hello to my wbc brides tonight is my party!!!!
Our theme of course is the penis. My mom is going to make a special gluten free penis cake just for me :) Were going to have it in a bar around 14 people so im hoping its going to be fun cause there not my friends from back home and they do things different here and maybe they wont get some of the things that we have planned. Either way im having fun! |

Days till wedding!!!
This is just a quick OMFG its 5 days till the wedding. My boss who i finished working with last week at the last minute had decided to go on vacation and needed me to work from fri-mon. Those are the worst days thats when so much needs to be done!
So im totally freakin cause time is going by so fast i cant eat and i cant loose anymore cause we just got through paying an arm and a leg to make it two dress sizes smaller. Ill try and post later about the upcoming events. |
