Linens- Rent or Buy????

I would like to get upgraded linens for my receptio: Overlays, table runners, chair sashes, napkins, etc. But I'm not sure if I should rent or buy.

I've heard that sometimes it is cheaper to buy online than to rent from a local vendor, and its of course better than renting from the venue. Does anyone have information on this? Any sites to buy from? Ideas for cheap custom linens, etc.

I am going to buy my black satin table overlays...i figured its about the same price to rent or buy so im going to sell them after and make my money back!!

I say RENT only if you have no other use for them!  I hate clutter with un-neccesary stuff.

I think at least for chair sashes, you would be better off buying.  You can get them for just $1.19 each here:  http://www.efavormart.com/satinsashes.aspx

Though the only downside to that is that you would likely have to set it up and tear it down yourself or hire someone to do so.  

I also wanted to say... is that your kitty in the picture?!  It's ADORABLE!  It made me squeal with cuteness overload over here.  =)

I am  just waiting on my sample. http://www.linentablecloth.com/ this is were I would like to buy my linen from. It would be cheaper for me to buy them to rent. I am going to re-sell them after .

Thanks for the feedback  I also found another great site http://www.tableclothsfactory.com with chair sashes as low as 0.85. I'm sure i'm going to buy

I'm going to talk to my wedding planner in terms of set up

After the wedding I'll ever sell or donate the items. It'll still be cheaper than renting and i'll either get back some of the cash or a tax write off

I am renting everything, so hopefully this will help you figure out to rent or buy.  Here are the rental costs for my reception in my area:

Linens:  $26-30 each
Napkins:  $2 each
Chair Pad Covers for Chivari Chairs: $2 each
Chargers:  $4 each
China: $1 each entree or bread plate

Then there is also a $86 delivery fee.
