Whats on your Website

I want to start designing our website today. I've decided to deign it myself because I do web design, but I need ideas on what kind of content.

I know the standard stuff like
-ceremony and reception info
-list of bridal party
-maybe a photo gallery
-travel arrangements

but what else. What are some of things you have on your website? Did you use one of those template services or a custom design? Also feel free your share your website

we put a lot of stuff on our website and so far people have LOVED it! like, called me while on it to tell me how much they like it

we wanted it to have the standard stuff like reception, pictures, but also fun stuff like "sneak peak" and "rejected ideas". ps. i didn't come up with those ideas myself, i just forget where i saw them!

We included a section about the proposal and how we met. We did a "bride's side of the story" and "groom's side of the story" for the how we met section. We also have a registry section, an RSVP section and a comment page. I also decided to include our menu so guests would be able to see exactly what the meal options were instead of just chicken, etc. I also wanted to let guests know there would be a cash bar and not an open bar.

I created ours from scratch using Blogger, and making it look like a website, rather than a blog.  FH is the web-designer in the house, but he was swamped and told me this was going to be my baby to put together.  Huh...ok.  I'm sure I went around things willy-nilly, and some things took me double the time it would take a trained professional on DreamWeaver, but oh well.  It was a learning experience, to say the least!  

Got a lot of my inspiration from Mrs. Lovebug on Weddingbee, and put our own twist on it.  You can see our site here.

Have fun putting yours together!  I also got bits and pieces of our site from this couple's site, which was created by the fabulous Mrs. Lovebug.  Her shop is down right now, otherwise I'd direct you to her templates for ideas too...(Rainy Day Templates)
